Good shrimp and grits, but more Cajun than Charleston. Crab cake sandwich was good, but could have used a slaw rather than greens. Breakfast brunch sandwich was great. The restaurant was a bit loud for lunch but the service was great. For the fries, pickles and onion rings, the fried pickles were about the best I've ever had. The onion rings were a bit doughy.

It’s located right next to a hotel and it’s right on king street.
We were seated right away and received water, menus, and cornbread!
We ordered the fried green tomatoes (skip), fish and chips (really good), fried ribs (spouse loved them - with a Carolina sauce that has a kick and not too mustardy), and mac and cheese (if you’re a cheese lover, get this - there is a strong funky cheese in it).
Great service too!

Sara took care of us. We came here specifically for the fried chicken. My husband says it’s the best he’s ever had. I loved the fried green tomatoes and she crab soup.

Virginia's on King was excellent! As visitors to the area they won my award for best fried chicken. Although I'm not a local so you can only trust me so much. But truly everything we had was delicious and hearty. Cooked to perfection and delightfully tasty.
Service was quick and staff were kind. The restaurant itself was simple, cozy and clean. I wouldn't hesitate to tell you to go eat here! If you can trust a tourist... Enjoy!!

I had the chicken and waffles. The staff is so accommodating. The food came quick and the drinks are refreshing and strong 😄. Recommend stopping by if you are by the park where the farmers market is.
