We came to the Wednesday night improv show and had a fantastic time! Great theater space, shared a bottle of wine and laughed all evening! The cast was great, interactive and entertaining! Definitely a must on the to do list while visiting Charleston!
We came to the Wednesday night improv from out of town and had a great time! I love the seating inside and the stage was big enough for many people. The artists were fun and inviting. We had a few drinks and snacks at the bar as well. Fun time!
We love this place. We went back three times while we were in town. The price is right they have a good selection of snacks and drinks. Every show was completely different, and we saw a lot of different cast there.
Our first time, and what a great experience! We went to the improv show - definitely worth it, and authentic when you could tell they were occasionally caught off guard. Cash bar only, beer and wine and snacks, artwork to purchase along the way, and one intermission. We’ll be back!
Do yourself a favor and spend an evening at Theatre 99! I went to a show here and there growing up in the Charleston area and I had a great time. Later on in life, I decided I wanted to take some improv classes, I became HOOKED! The classes are so fun, thought provoking and have benefits in and out of the theatre. I have completed levels 1-5, as well as taking special classes and workshops. During that time people at my work have noticed and I have been asked to do a lot more fun, front facing roles - it truly made a difference for me in how I approach life and how I incorporate so much more play into my world. Now if classes aren’t your jam - no biggie!! The shows provide so much enjoyment. If you’re looking for a fun date night or just a new thing to do with friends, be prepared to laugh your butt off! The shows are always hilarious and I have had so many friends thank me for the experience! *Please note the bar is cash only, but they do have an ATM onsite. I love theatre 99 and I think you will too!
