Do yourself a favor and spend an evening at Theatre 99! I went to a show here and there growing up in the Charleston area and I had a great time. Later on in life, I decided I wanted to take some improv classes, I became HOOKED! The classes are so fun, thought provoking and have benefits in and out of the theatre. I have completed levels 1-5, as well as taking special classes and workshops. During that time people at my work have noticed and I have been asked to do a lot more fun, front facing roles - it truly made a difference for me in how I approach life and how I incorporate so much more play into my world. Now if classes aren’t your jam - no biggie!! The shows provide so much enjoyment. If you’re looking for a fun date night or just a new thing to do with friends, be prepared to laugh your butt off! The shows are always hilarious and I have had so many friends thank me for the experience! *Please note the bar is cash only, but they do have an ATM onsite. I love theatre 99 and I think you will too!
went on a saturday with my wife and a close friend. beer is cheap, open bar but cash only so keep that in mind! good seating for what i was, and great lighting! easy to see regardless of where you’re sitting. funniest show i’ve seen in such a long time. you WONT be disappointed.
Always such an entertaining show. Definitely a must for a date or a simple night out.
We have been twice to Theater 99 and both times were fantastic! Once as a special date night when they had a great visiting “Hallmark Christmas” show and another time with a group for the Wednesday night show. The tickets prices are perfect!! The shows we attended were mostly clean as far as language and content but they have shows specifically safe for young families. Loved the audience interaction. We have never been able to get street parking so prepare to park in a close by garage. Still the most affordable date night there is in the Charleston area! We laughed so hard and enjoyed the atmosphere and experience. Can’t wait to go back!
Great Improv class recital with friends. The concession are cash only. Next time I will stay for the regular show.
