I attended the grand reopening of the Medal of Honor Museum, and it is by far one of the better military museums I have been to (I am at 14 visited). The museum has gone to great detail to ensure that the story of the medal and its recipients is well communicated. Showing the progression of the medal from its inception to it most recent recipients. Allow yourself at least an hour to an hour and half to ensure you can see all the exhibits in the museum, even more time (perhaps a day) to see the USS Yorktown.

Despite what their phone recording and website said they were closed when we arrived. This was particularly distressing since I had planned for months to visit the site where my MOH-winning great-great uncle was enshrined.

A great museum showing the history of all of the United States wars and the Medals of Honor.
