Went for a date night and it was really the perfect setting. Nice and cozy. The drink options are phenomenal (I can't remember the last place I visited that had anise options for drinks and the cocktails were really well made. Food options are good too! We had the fried mushrooms and charcuterie platter alongside some oysters. Great service from Jacob and bartending from Veronica. Will definitely be back some day!
This should be on every GIN lover’s list. The bar has some of the most amazing vibes with impeccably appointed details. They are a prohibition era cocktail place so no VODKA based drinks. There are plenty of awesome concoctions and frankly loved the ingredients and the mixology.
Can’t rate the food. Was only here for the cocktails. And they did not disappoint . Had an array of cocktails from the Manhattan to the bartenders choice to the make me your favorite bourbon drink. The staff were amazing. The bartender was amazing with his knowledge of cocktails. This is my favorite cocktail bar in Charleston.
The Gin Joint was an our favorite spot during our vacation in Charleston. If you are looking for great cocktails this is the spot. We went here twice just so we could try out several of their drinks because they were all so good. The service was great. Sit at the bar if you can because they were all bar tender is a pro and she is fun to watch work and she answered any questions we had. I highly recommend doing the ‘Bartender’s Choice’ where you pick two adjectives that you like and you get a mystery drink. If you aren’t up to thay though you can’t go wrong with the drinks on the menu. Cant go wrong with the gin martini if nothing adventurous sounds good to you. The food menu is small, but was delicious. The whipped bone marrow dip and burger were both excellent.
