Loved the Charleston hotel. It truly is a 4 star hotel, and maybe even touching on five star. They have something going on everyday there, so you know people love it. The outside little area was my favorite. An amazing place to sit and drink coffee at any time of the day. The rooms were good, and the service was also very good. It is pricey, but you do get what you pay for. Some places you pay these prices and you do not. The only thing that is odd is the parking. The parking is 18 dollars max, which it really isn't. Not a big deal, just a bit of false advertising. As far as the restaurants, I didn't attend. If you go to the brunch it is cheaper if you're staying there. From what I heard, it might be worth it if you don't want to go out. Will stay here again if I am in the area.
I had the pleasure of staying at The Charleston Place for the first time for a Women's Empowerment Summit and it was a fabulous experience. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. As soon as I walked in, I was in awe. The concierge was extremely attentive, but my favorite part of my experience was the food and the staff. You never know what you're going to get, but the food was PHENOMENAL. Every single meal was as good as the last and I had the pleasure of meeting two beautiful ladies: Lori and Ingrid. Their kindness and service went above and beyond! It's so rare to meet people that genuinely enjoy interacting and love what they do. I will definitely be back!
Absolutely stunning. Gorgeous hotel in the heart of Charleston. Prime location to great restaurants. Walkable area with a lot of shops and entertainment nearby. The staff is phenomenal. Always went above and beyond to make sure my stay was enjoyable. Highly recommended.
The good: First impression when walking into the hotel is amazing. Live music, great welcoming, etc. Food and service at the restaurant was also great. Nicely located. The bad: Rooms need maintenance and upgrading. We were a group (business meeting) and several people had issues: dirty toilet, dripping showers, rusty (mold?) bathtubs, broken safes. When requested to change rooms, were told that "no other rooms in your booked category were available". Interesting because I could see available rooms online. And I guess we didn't deserve an upgrade to a room meeting expectations. The worst: The customer service attitude. You could feel they didn't care for the situation. Didn't look for alternatives. No solutions offered. Summary: Great place to meet people, have dinner or drinks. Not recommended to stay. It's not worth the price.
I was fortunate enough to stay at The Charleston Place during my first visit to SC and it was an amazing experience! I can't say I've ever stayed in a nicer hotel. The lobby is absolutely gorgeous and the rooms are amazing too. I ate at Meeting at Market my first night and got some drinks at the Thoroughbred Club the second. Both places were really enjoyable, with great food and a good atmosphere. I especially loved the live piano music in the Thoroughbred Club. Also highly recommend the room service breakfast. The Charleston Place is located near so many amazing restaurants for lunch & dinner needs. I hope I can go back to this hotel some time in the future!
