Absolutely stellar experience with Smooth Move! I hired them for a move from Charleston to the Upstate, and they exceeded every expectation. Alex, the manager, was incredibly communicative throughout the process—responsive, helpful, and professional. Julius and his partner handled the actual move with unmatched care and attention to detail. Every fragile item was expertly wrapped, and multiple delicate TVs arrived without a scratch. I was in the moving and storage business for several years, so I was involved with my niece's recent very complicated move. A very nice and high end Daniel Island home. Half was going to local storage and the other half to her rental truck for Chicago. My side was the local storage. One 3-man crew loaded both trucks. Both trucks were stacked high and tight, well covered and tightly loaded to avoid shifting and damage. The local storage was a bear! 3rd floor elevator and more than a hundred yards of a long walk! The ice from the freak snow storm the day before would make most movers cry, but not them. It was very long day with only a short lunch... John Brown and his crew did a great job. I've not seen better! Thanks Smooth Move! I will recommend you to all in the greater Charleston area.
Great experience with Smooth Move for our recent local Charleston area move! Evan, Antwan, and Justin were respectful, efficient and worked so hard. Smooth Move was affordable and had great communication throughout the process. The owner, Alex, was very helpful! I’d recommend!
Smooth Move was great with my local move this past week. They were super flexible, as I called to change my move up one day early and then had to call the day of and notify them that I was literally waiting for a call any minute to find out if my move was actually going to happen that day, due to a possible delayed closing. They were very understanding of my situation and it all worked out in the end. The 3 movers that showed up were professional, very hard-working, and worked together as a team to get the job done in a timely fashion. They were careful with everything and wrapped things in blankets and/or shrink wrap for protection. They broke down the beds, kept track of the hardware, and put them back together when we got to the new house! I will definitely be recommending them to my friends and family! 10/10
The team at Smooth Move provides excellent, respectful, and professional services. They were fantastic and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. They performed our move very skillfully and efficiently. AND...the senior packer actually saved us a lot of money when he got all of our possessions into one storage unit, instead of the two we had reserved. I encourage you to use this company!!
