We dined here for our anniversary and it was wonderful! I loved that they noticed I mentioned it was our anniversary when we checked in for our reservation. They also treated us to champagne! Such a special treat of kindness. Staff is amazing! We had Jordan and she was amazing. She was helpful and very knowledgeable with gluten free options. The food was delicious. Shrimp and grits was the best I have had in a long time. Overall experience was wonderful, we will be dining here again. Thank you all for a very nice dinner!

Our food was great, loved the combination of flavors. The service was very slow and had to point out different things to the waiter, felt like we had to chase her down just to get more water. We got there when it was the end of the lunch rush so we thought we could eat and go since they were preparing the restaurant for dinner. It seemed like everyone was more focused on getting the napkins folded right, changing table cloths, etc. than getting the few people left taken care of and out of there. Wished they had changed their menu more or more options but the 3 days we were there it was the same and even for brunch. Definitively good tasting food and gin but desired more.

I had my heart set on dining at Slightly North of Broad (SNOB) long before I even landed in Charleston, South Carolina, and it did not disappoint. The name alone caught my attention, with its clever acronym, but it was the menu, particularly the roasted duck breast, that truly made this restaurant a must-visit for me. I traveled all the way from Folsom, California, and the duck was absolutely worth the journey across the country—perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere was just beautiful, providing a warm and welcoming dining experience. The service was equally outstanding, with staff who were not only attentive but also very accommodating to my dietary restrictions. Being allergic to gluten, corn, and tomatoes can make dining out challenging, but SNOB handled it with ease. While they didn’t have a specific gluten-free roll, they kindly offered a gluten-free bun, toasted to perfection, which completed my meal in the best way possible. Even without the gluten-free bread accommodations, I would have been thrilled with my meal. The roasted duck alone made the trip worthwhile, but the exceptional service and atmosphere elevated the entire experience. I highly recommend SNOB for anyone visiting Charleston—it’s an unforgettable dining experience that you simply can’t go wrong with.

Came here with a couple ladies for lunch. I was able to snag a parking spot on the street quickly since there is no lot, but there is a garage nearby. Pretty busy place around 12pm on a Tuesday. This is part of the “Halls” collection so it was also my first experience as well. It was casual to business casual as far as how people were dressed but the staff were in all black and gave that fine dining service feel. Peter was our server, very nice, friendly guy and attentive during service. We started with the clams, buttery, lemony and came with some bread - very tasty. I had the swordfish with risotto as my meal. Good portion, I liked the pickled carrots that came with it the most. My friends had the Milanese chicken with salad which had some pieces of watermelon that looked juicy. Overall it was a good experience, I wasn’t blown away by anything in particular but I enjoyed what I had.

We were in town for a long weekend and this was by far our favorite experience. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. They are very accommodating as well as knowledgeable about food allergies. There were plenty of options for our friend who has a peanut and tree nut allergy. Our large party really enjoyed the halibut, lamb, and pork chop. Would definitely recommend!
