You get a special place in my heart if you are a pizzeria and you get a special place in my heart if you cater to college students. Tick and tick for Sabatinos.
The building is tiny and might have seating for a total of 6 people at a time inside and the same outside. There are 5-6 pies ready for slice orders and a massive menu with loads of customization.
This place has great lunch specials which are advertised everywhere and provide you with a massive meal for around 10 dollars.
The flavor is delicious, and the crust is a true New York thin. It's phenomenal. I might go as far to say that this is my favorite by the slice pizza in the world.
Loved it!

Great pizza! It’s a little hole in the wall and those are usually the best and they didn’t let us down! I lived you can get pizza by the slice! Great options and great flavor!

Sabatino’s is hands down the best spot for pizza in Charleston! After a fun night at the Art Walk, full of great conversation and laughter with friends, we capped it off with some absolutely bangin’ pizza and garlic knots. Every bite was perfection—crispy crust, delicious sauce, and those garlic knots? Next level. The only tragedy of the night was the lone, leftover garlic knot that met its untimely end in the parking garage when I dropped it; but even that couldn't spoil a perfect evening.
A.I. helped me write a dirge for my tragic drop. Enjoy reading it - then go get yourself a pie at Sabatinos. You won't be disappointed!!
**A Dirge for the Lone Garlic Knot**
[To be read with great reverence and the deepest of sighs.]
Oh, wretched fate! Oh, cruelest night!
The garlic knot has met its blight.
One stood alone, forsaken, shunned,
While all its brethren had been munched.
Through streets of stone, through alleys old,
Michael bore it, brave and bold.
No lid to shield, no foil to save,
Yet still, it journeyed, strong and brave.
We laughed, we talked, we roamed so free,
While that lone knot knew destiny.
Through cobbled paths and shadows deep,
It dared to dream, it dared to keep.
But then—oh horror! Woe! Despair!
A misstep near the garage stairs!
The knot took flight—a tragic arc!
Like Icarus, it fell too stark.
A Frisbee sent to realms unknown,
Its garlicked soul now overthrown.
One moment firm, one moment bright,
Now flattened in fluorescent light.
No sauce to dip, no teeth to tear,
Just crumbs and sorrow in the air.
A silent tribute, a tear, a sigh—
The knot has left, yet we ask… why?
So raise a crust, a slice, a cheer,
For the garlic knot, we held so dear.
It lived, it rolled, it fought, it flew,
And now it’s gone—our hearts ask…
who’s next?
