I am so glad we stopped by to try Republic Ice Cream. When we walked in Micheal greeted us and I was curious about the local aspects so I asked more questions. He was so knowledgeable about the ice cream and really enthusiastic & he told us about the farm where they get their milk, I especially love anything with cherries and he told us they source the cherries used in the ice cream in South Carolina. The cherry vanilla ice cream actually tastes like it has vanilla beans. Yum! My husband and I absolutely loved it! The freshest ice cream we have ever tasted. Stop by and taste for yourself 🍨
Delicious ice cream made with all natural ingredients! Has gluten free waffle cone options - which is so rare!!!! They have champagne and chocolate sorbets - and both are absolutely delicious. Chocolate is handmade by the owners. Blown away by this place!!! Both the King Street and Sullivan locations are awesome with super friendly staff!
It’s a small and nice place, very cute and friendly service. I ordered 2 scopes of cappuccino chips ice cream in a waffle cone, and it was good—very sweet. I believe it was made based on cream. The waffle cone was also very tasty; I loved it. Perhaps I had hoped they would offer a wider variety of flavors beyond the traditional ones like vanilla, chocolate, cookies and cream, etc. It’s expensive, but the portion size was pretty big; I had to share with my husband and we both ended up super satisfied.
Nice little spot to pick up a scoop of ice cream during your walk down King Street. The prices here are fair for downtown, and the scoops are pretty sizeable. Every flavor we got here was delicious and not too sweet, which was a big plus. Service was quick and friendly, the place was very clean. If you're craving some good ice cream, you will not be disappointed here.
A must is the mint ice cream. We even tried that the coffee one and loved it.
