TO DIE FOR! This is a place you must try and bring your biggest appetite with you! I loved every little bit of it. We ordered a carafe of mimosas, which our server said would be about four drinks, but I think we ended up getting six. Worth it if you’re getting 4 or more drinks per group. We then snacked on their fluffy moist biscuits! The pimento cheese fritters were so gooey and delicious! The fried chicken sandwich was delectable. The chicken was perfectly cooked. I added some hot sauce on it for my personal preference. The biscuit and gravy was also good, but not my favorite. I love banana pudding! It’s my birthday dessert! This one was very tasty but I prefer my wafers a bit more mushy. All in all it was such a great brunch. I recommend coming in when you’re in Charleston!
The best. To start, the atmosphere. It was very cozy, and homey. Then, the service. Great from the start, friendly, and fast. (Dante was a great server) Then, the food. The food had an amazing southern feel, and it was some of the best. The biscuits had a moist, and crumbly texture to them, the pimento fritters were super stretchy, and cheesy the bacon jam added to this taste. The chicken and waffles were the best part. The waffle was soaked in some kind of sweet sauce or syrup, it was moist and delicious. The chicken tenders were very very good. They had a moist chicken, and the crunchy breading only added to the flavor. The malted peaches were sweet as well
We visited this establishment for brunch on a Sunday. It’s a cozy little atmosphere with burning fireplaces. I recommend reservations but it wasn’t needed. They move tables pretty quickly. The food comes out fast and piping hot. I highly recommend the she crab soup and catfish. In addition, I asked for a separate to go box for my biscuits so I could give it to the homeless and the waiter gave me a full to go box. Now that’s impressive. The homeless gentleman was so happy and so am I. Thank you for your hospitality Poogans Porch.
Went 2 days in a row. Really experienced 'Southern Hospitality' (heartfelt service) Yummy food and superb service. Many dishes I want to try. Best overall value compared to the restaurants nearby. I have paid more with less tasty food and around the same level of service.
Absolutely amazing. Phenomenal. Went here for a baby moon brunch. Was greeted with a congrats card from the manager. Awesome table next to one of the many fire places. Service was some of the best I’ve ever had. Ashton was phenomenal server. - biscuits with honey butter - pimento cheese poppers were great Brunch burger - chicken and waffles were amazing Legit amazing
