This is a must-try spot—come hungry! Great burgers!
I loved this place! I went for Sunday brunch a while ago, but I totally forgot to write this review until now. 😆
The food was great! I loved that they brought complimentary biscuits at the beginning—they were delicious. Another thing I really liked was the fries; they looked different from the usual ones and tasted amazing.
The service was also quick and friendly.

Our evening at Poogan’s Porch in Charleston, South Carolina, was nothing short of delightful. This restaurant comes highly recommended on Google Maps, and it absolutely lives up to the hype. The charming, historic setting adds to the experience, but the food is the true star.
The she-crab soup was the highlight of the meal—rich, creamy, and packed with incredible flavor. The Lowcountry fried fish was equally amazing, perfectly cooked and full of Southern charm.
If you’re looking for a special dinner treat in Charleston, Poogan’s Porch is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

We had a good wait but it was absolutely worth it! There is also plenty to explore while waiting! The story behind Poogan’s is shared and the history in the building is great! The biscuits were mouth watering, melt in your mouth amazing! If we return to Charleston we will definitely go back here! Also, my fish was perfectly cooked and moist!

This place was cute! Biscuits were delicious! Server was awesome- wore glasses & very polite. We sat outside due to having a couple of dogs traveling with us. Back patio was adorable- it was absolutely freezing outside the day we went. Would have been delightful if the metal chairs had cushions to keep warm! We joke we can still feel how cold it was that day.😆 I received a recommendation to come here- I swear she said to get the fried chicken (which I forgot until after the fact) & saw a plate of it go by & it looked absolutely INSANE. Our food was good! But it did look better than it tasted, our whole table agreed it needed a little more salt. Would go back & try the fried chicken! & would love to sit inside next time-
Oh! & Poogan was a dog who used to live on the porch waiting for his owners to return. 🥲 He is buried out front! Pretty cool historical place & experience.

TO DIE FOR! This is a place you must try and bring your biggest appetite with you! I loved every little bit of it. We ordered a carafe of mimosas, which our server said would be about four drinks, but I think we ended up getting six. Worth it if you’re getting 4 or more drinks per group. We then snacked on their fluffy moist biscuits! The pimento cheese fritters were so gooey and delicious! The fried chicken sandwich was delectable. The chicken was perfectly cooked. I added some hot sauce on it for my personal preference. The biscuit and gravy was also good, but not my favorite. I love banana pudding! It’s my birthday dessert! This one was very tasty but I prefer my wafers a bit more mushy. All in all it was such a great brunch. I recommend coming in when you’re in Charleston!
