Simply perfection! The oyster selection is otherworldly. The chargrilled oysters the best Ive had in my life. (Florida born an culinary chef.) The peel & eat shrimp so plump and served ice cold I have craved them since I had them. The service was above and beyond. The atmosphere encouraged private chatter but also conversation with next table easily. Friendly and cheerful and above all excellent food served with smiles, suggestions, and ease. I will never visit Charleston again without making sure to dine here. (Do not eat the soup. I actually sent it back to the kitchen. Never have I had to do that. ) Highly recommend again and again for everything else.

We dined at Pearlz twice during our recent Charleston stay.
Our first evening my Little Princess selected a Raspberry Point cocktail, Tuna Tartar. We shared a NE Clam Chowder. I selected a Old Fashioned and Manhattan for drinks and the appetizer Fried Oysters.
The Old Fashioned was off. The other two drinks were very good. The Tuna Tartar, Chowder, and Oysters were most excellent.
=====
For our second evening visit my Little Princess replicated the Raspberry Point, selected Seafood Gumbo, and Baked Oysters Rockefeller. I selected a Queen of the Sea cocktail, Sherry Crab Bisque with Old Bay oil, Blue Cheese Wedge, and appetizer Fried Oysters.
Both evenings were very good with excellent service by Kennedy and Luca. Just need to work on the Old Fashioned.

Great Lobster Bisque! I stopped in for a quick bite and sat at the bar. Smiled and excellent service from everyone. I started with the Lobster Bisque and finished with some Oysters Rockefeller. Both outstanding. Great spot with excellent specials. Will be back.

Pearlz was a pleasant surprise. The gumbo was not spicy, but had tremendous depth of flavor. Mussels were excellent. Highly recommend both. Sat at the bar and the shuckers were fun to talk with. Narragansett was on tap! Fun place in a fun town.

Highlights were the corn fritters, broiled oysters, seafood linguine (the white wine sauce is one of the best I've had) and the cocktails. It was so good we went twice on our weekend trip to Charleston. Second time we went it took a while to get our meals but they were very apologetic and comped some of our meal to make up for it. Overall great food, great service.
