My husband and I have been on this tour before, but we still learned so many new and interesting facts..and lore! Our guide was Michael Yates, and he was amazing. He does warn you that he walks and talks fast..but we were game! He used to be a history teacher, so his knowledge is incredible. Our teenage son went with us and he really enjoyed the stories as well. The dungeon is just a really neat place to visit to truly understand some of our national history...and the conditions people lived in.

This was quite a stop on our route of old Charelston... dipping back into the past was an adventure for certain. Standing in a spot that is literally older than our country is definitely eye opening. From being a warehouse to a provost, the history is deep, having changed hands a couple times. A must see!

Lots of history. The guides are very informative. They didn't mention the slave history even though it was a big part of the building and the city of Charleston.

We take every out of town visitor here and it's always a hit. The tour is really good it's very informative but short enough that people don't get bored. After the tour, there are two floors of exhibits and information to see. This is a great capsule history of the City of Charleston and I highly recommend it.

This was a really cool bit of history and the tie guide was wonderful with a dry sense of humor fitting the time period. The lower part of the dungeon tour sets you in a much bigger space which made it very hard to hear the tour guide. I’m pretty sure i missed a lot of the discussion and my friends were a little bored as it wasn’t interactive.
