Stopped by Friday during lunch service and had the burnt ends pork sandwich special with a side of green beans. The service and restaurant were great and the food tasted good. I have had better BBQ but this place definitely has the fundamentals down and is a great local spot to go to.

Went here for dinner on Saturday night. We had a really good meal and great service.
The Pulled Pork with South Carolina sauce was delicious! I was also impressed with the fries — normally I hate steak fries because they aren’t crispy on the outside - these were literally perfect.
The Brisket was really well smoked, with a nice charred edge and super tasty. The Mac and cheese was good but the focus of this meal was the meats and they definitely delivered!!
The lemonade was really good!l As was the iced tea.
The banana pudding has potential (real bananas and good wafer to pudding ratio) but the custard was a little too bland, and the topping doesn’t hold its flavor either.
Overall we were really happy we went here and are looking forward to coming back.

Some of the best BBQ we've had anywhere on our travels! We tried the Pit-Master Plate to get a sampling of everything they had to offer. It was WAY more food than two people could every eat, but we had plenty of tasty leftovers for later in the week. Everything was cooked to perfection; I particularly enjoyed the smoked wings (the rub was delicious) and the ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, yet crispy. These guys have some of the best sauces we've every had, so we walked away with a gallon of the Sweet Red for home consumption. If you're ever in the Charleston, SC area, don't miss this historic gem!

The brisket sandwich was amazing!!!
The collard greens, fries, onion rings and banana pudding were also delicious.
The pulled pork sandwich was decent, but fell wayyyy short when brisket is an option.
Staff was friendly and helpful for a couple of visitors from the "far north" (Wisconsin)
