I enjoyed a leisurely, early dinner at Magnolia's. Kate was a wonderful server with helpful suggestions. The Blue crab soup is excellent. The cabbage roll was lively and tasty (I do like a bit of spice) and the Key lime pie was creamy and , well, just yummy. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was great(love the jazz in the background). Highly recommended

We were told by many Charlestonian‘s that Magnolias is a top pick for dining in the area. After dining there, we’d have to agree. From the moment we walked in the restaurant, delicious smells filled the air. After being seated, our friendly and bubbly server, Leaha explained the specials of the day and shared some of her favorite meals. We started with a scallop appetizer which was out of this world! Next onto swordfish and short rib. Our dinners were delicious. We would highly recommend this restaurant to others, but would caution them to make reservations in advance.

Fried green tomatoes was 6/5, one of the best dishes we’ve had! Pecan pie with ice cream was 5/5. Light but delicious Buttermilk fried chicken was 3.5/5. Wasn’t super flavorful and not that moist/juicy. Wasn’t bad but not great. Fried fish sandwich 4/5

Very flavorful food with great service and ambiance. We had the traditional lowland southern foods: fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits, and seafood bouillabaisse. Everything was fantastic with a great blend of flavors and texture. The grits were creamy with the perfect amount of heat. The pictures don’t do it justice, they taste much much better than they look. Highly recommend.

We had an early dinner after touring the city all day. We were welcomed for our reservation and then immediately greeted by our incredible waitress, Christie. She was sweet and welcoming and had wonderful recommendations! The fried green tomatoes are 10/10! Even our son who would never eat something like this thought they were great! The fresh market catch was the best fish we have ever eaten and our son loved his NY strip. The cocktails were wonderful and refreshing! I would definitely say - go here and will be back!! Do many good restaurants to choose from, but so thankful we came to Magnolias!
