Le Farfalle offered a solid dining experience, but it didn’t fully live up to the expectations set by the buzz around it. The focaccia was nicely done, and the whipped ricotta was good, though it lacked the rosemary flavor that was promised. The calamari, however, was outstanding—the best I’ve ever had. The artichokes had a great consistency but needed more seasoning, maybe some salt or a touch of lemon to brighten them up. The linguine with crab meat was excellent, well-balanced with cream and flavor, and the potato vinaigrette was also a nice touch.
Overall, the food was enjoyable, but given the month-long wait for a reservation and the fact that this was for a special occasion, it didn’t quite deliver the exceptional experience I was hoping for. Still, it’s a good spot, just perhaps not quite worth the extreme advance planning.

was truly impressed by the ambiance and aesthetic of the place—it’s such a beautifully designed space! The food and drinks were exceptional, with generous portions and so much flavor. I especially loved the homemade pastas and unique dishes; they were absolutely delightful. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making our experience even more special. A heartfelt thank you to Japeth and Caitlin for going above and beyond to help us celebrate my husband’s birthday—it was a memorable evening that we’ll cherish for a long time!

This was my second time at Le Farfalle and I can now confirm, without a doubt, that it’s the best restaurant in Charleston. There are not enough words to describe how delicious the food is (get the prosciutto plate, whipped ricotta & artichoke… trust me). It is all SO fresh and amazing… tastes like I’m in Italy! The service is also always top notch! The wait staff is so attentive and knowledgeable. I couldn’t recommend this place more if I tried!!!

Outstanding food & service!
We went here on a recommendation from our hotel. We did not have a reservation, which is recommended. We were promptly seated at the bar, where the bar tender took excellent care of us. The bacon wrapped veal was heavenly. The angel hair pasta, while simple, was also perfectly executed.
The 24 carrot cake was decent, but I've had better. The chocolate cake was a solid 10. I would eat that every day if I could.
The price point is up there, but if you want the best meal of your vacation, go here.

Went here for an anniversary dinner and it did not disappoint. Staff were helpful, friendly, and down to earth. Alexa helped us and she was awesome!
WARM ROSEMARY
FOCACCIA
Tomato Sugo, Whipped Ricotta &
Olive Oil
$10.00
10/10 crusty on the outside and pillowy on the inside. Dipping it in the Whipped Ricotta was heaven!
CAESAR
Romaine Hearts, Garlic
Breadcrumbs, Parmigiano
Vinaigrette
$14.00
10/10 was even better with extra dressing. Covered in parmesan. It was bliss!
OCTOPUS CARPACCIO
Roasted Tomatoes, Pickled
Eggplant, Fett'unta
$22.00
7/10 I wanted to like this more but didn't hit all the notes I was looking for. Seemed more fishy than I expected. Would have loved it more if it had more smoky notes.
FUSILLI LUNGHI
Cacio e Pepe, Black Pepper,
Pecorino Romano
$21.00
10/10 Winner Winner. Loved this dish and added chicken. Creamy and cheesy. Yhe noodles were thick long and al dente. Perfe tion.
BUCATINI
Italian Sausage, Broccoli Rabe,
Long Hot Peppers, Basil, Tomato
$25.00
8/10 solid, spicy and good.
LINGUINE
al Limone, Jumbo Lump Crab,
Garlic Breadcrumbs
$31.00
7/10 everyone at the table liked this but I just thought the lemon overpowered everything. Maybe I'm picky but I expected more richness and Crab flavors.
CHICKEN PARMIGIANA
Chicken Cutlet, Tomato, Mozzarella,
Basil
$24.00
Add Spaghetti Pomodoro $9.00
9/10 very solid chicken parm. The crispy edges of the chicken added to the flavor profile.
Overall we had an amazing experience and would come back for new and already tried dishes.
