As a person who doesn't know as much about wine as I would like to, Jason and his team help you navigate the array of options, finding the perfect bottle for any occasion. Their thoughtful selection and warm, approachable guidance make every visit a pleasure. Whether you're exploring something new or picking up a favorite, Jessamine + Vine is a go-to for quality wines and great service.
Jessamine + Vine is the ABSOLUTE BEST place to pick up your favorite bottle of wine or small batch liquor! Jason is incredibly knowledgeable and will assist you with any need you may have, to the perfect gift or selecting the ideal bottle of wine for your dinner party. & the fact that he stays open until 7:00 is amazing.
Buyer beware with this wine shop. Was in a month ago and bought a $160 bottle of Brunello for a special occasion we had with friends a few weeks later. Upon opening the bottle for the dinner, there was a very pungent smell from the wine and we realized it was a corked wine and had been contaminated. We were really bummed that was the outcome but understand sometimes that can happen and figured we could swap out or find a comparable product. I reached out to Jessamine + Vine and was told there was nothing he could do because there is no way for him to go back and get compensated by who he got the wine from. Further, it was communicated it was our risk in buying the older bottles (convenient that they cost more) that this could happen. Really bummed to spend this kind of money on a bottle and be told tough luck. Simple tip: take care of your customer or someone else will. Wild how the first thought wasn’t to make it right or try and provide a solution. This was our first and last time supporting this business.
Exactly what one would want in a small neighborhood wine and spirits shop. Jason personally visits a number of European vineyards every year to find excellent small producers, which he features on the shelves and in periodic tastings. Spirits focus on local and regional offerings and are notable as well. It's always worth a stop by to see what's on offer, particularly if a tasting is happening!
Jason has honed his craft through years of hard work in the wine industry and restaurant business. It shows through in his ability to source fine wines and old vines. A trip to his shop is a must do and he will answer ALL you questions too! Get on his mailing list soon!
