Was here for my birthday. The waitress was extremely friendly and knowledgeable regarding the menu. Her descriptions of items helped me make an informed decision on what I wanted to order. The food was amazing and the portions huge. Very reasonably priced considering the portions. The slushy are a must try, you won't be disappointed!

Hyman’s Seafood is my go-to spot in Charleston—great food, friendly service, and a laid-back vibe that feels like home. The she-crab soup is creamy and full of flavor, and the fried shrimp platter is always fresh and crispy, served with classic sides. The sweet tea is just like grandma used to make! What really makes this place special is the people—Victor and his team make you feel welcome, like part of the family. With its rich history and warm atmosphere, it’s a must-visit whether you’re a local or just passing through. Highly recommend!

This is the best restaurant in Charleston, period! I will go as far to say that this is the best restaurant in the entire state. I have thought about those hush puppies every day since we got home from our trip. Everything we had was just delicious. Don’t miss this place if you ever find yourself in Charleston!!

What an incredible Charleston experience! We loved this place! The food was delicious. Large portions, great value. The service was top notch. Vlad took excellent care of us. The owner of the restaurant came by our table to say hello and see how we liked our food. I loved the conversation starter cards on the table. I also loved that the restaurant donates food to those in need. Thank you!

History, Nostalgia and Fish. I had the catch of the day fish - Hole. Cajun style very glad to have it. This is a great no frills stick to the basics kind of place. The place is huge and very nostalgic with all around posters of famous people. Loved ambience and food. No wonder there are always lines and lines for the food. A must have when you are in Charleston
