5/5 ⭐️’s for sure! During our dinner the owner of the restaurant walked up to our table to ask how everything was and how we enjoyed the meal. He was so pleasant and sweet. He gave my daughter a coupon for a free ice-cream which is located downstairs of their restaurant. Also, the salt rub is a must buy!! We bought 3 of them after trying them out. My husbands hands are still moisturized and soft and its been 2 hours already. This place is a MUST TRY. Will be coming back if we are in the area again.
I was greeted by Victor at the door!!! He was delightful. He had me seated immediately. The hush puppies are great, crispy, soft, sweet, yummy. The coleslaw was excellent not too much mayo, just perfect.i had the croquette trio with Brussels sprouts and Mac. It’s AMAZING!! I was pleasantly surprised. Airline crew, take your ID. 😉
The wait is long but it’s worth it! This restaurant combines nostalgia and culinary expertise beautifully with a fun and classic feeling to the decor and plenty of celebrity appearances over their past. Ultimately though, the food is fantastic and that’s what matters. We enjoyed the catch of the day grouper and the Carolina delight as well. Everything was rich and flavorful with generous portions. Highly recommended for classic energy and great food!
The wait to be seated was not to bad. The seating upstairs was very spacious. Our waitress was nice. The appetizer was very small for the price. It did taste very good. The entree portions were also small when you consider the prices. The pictures are from 12/23/2024 and you can compare for yourself. It was a bite of a wait to get our food but it was all hot and good once it arrived.
This was my first time visiting Charleston and we happen to walk by the restaurant as someone was handing out hush puppies to taste…best decision ever. One of the best meals we’ve had in 2024! The Service, quality, and options were excellent. I would recommend hush puppies with every course! My wife really enjoyed the grouper and the fried shrimp was delicious paired with their apricot chutney sauce. Shout out to Tierney who elevated our experience.
