As we toured Charleston we were told that Home Town was a must. We came on a Saturday afternoon with a party of six, we were offered seats outside but with the heat we decided to sit indoors. After a short wait, we were seated inside in a cool spot. The restaurant was busy, and TVs everywhere this place has a good sports bar feel. The dry rub wings and the pulled pork nachos were different and delicious. The BBQ sauces in this region of the U.S. are different from what I am used to. I am more familiar with a sugary base in the BBQ sauce. The sauces at Home Team BBQ have more of a vinegary base, still very good but different. Our drinks from the bar were delivered quickly and correctly. Our wait staff was attentive and got our orders to us in a timely manner. All in all, it was a great visit and I can see us coming back for more than drinks and appetizers.

My wife and I, coming from Charlotte, North Carolina, decided to treat ourselves to a visit to Home Team BBQ in Charleston, SC, after a long 3 1/2 hour drive. Our hunger was well-rewarded with an incredible BBQ lunch that exceeded all our expectations!
From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed into a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff were attentive and the portion sizes were just right, satiating our hunger without breaking the bank. The quality of the food was top-notch, with every bite bursting with flavor. I had the pulled pork sandwich with a refreshing tomato and cucumber salad and a side of perfectly crispy tater tots. My wife opted for the smoked turkey, which transported us straight to Thanksgiving with its tender and smoky goodness.
One thing that truly stood out was the cleanliness of the restaurant. The bathrooms, sinks, and walls were impeccably clean, which is a crucial aspect for us. It’s rare to find a place that balances excellent food with such a high standard of cleanliness.
If you're in Charleston, Home Team BBQ is a must-visit! The glowing reviews online are spot on, and we can’t wait to come back for more. Cheers to Home Team BBQ for making our trip memorable! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Definitely going back!

I'm typically not the biggest fan of BBQ, but wow, was this place excellent! The pulled pork was good, but what put the meal over the top were the sides and the sauces. They brought a flight 6 sauces to the table, and naturally, I had to try them all. I liked every single one of them! As others mentioned, the atmosphere was nice, too. Well worth coming back to!

The food was good. The service was good too. The baked beans and mac & cheese were delicious. I also had pulled pork with the sweet BBQ sauce, which was very good.
The server was very attentive, even though it was very busy, and my group had seven people.
I had the pick two. My food with drink was $25.

We ate here for an early dinner. The food was pretty good. We tried the brisket sliders, smoked wings, smoked turkey wrap, a combo platter and the fiery Ron burger. The wrap did not even have very much turkey in it. It tasted like guacamole. The wings were good. The burger and the tots were the best out of what we ordered. Actually the tots were the best tots any of us have ever had…. Crazy to say that about tater tots! I was hoping to really love this place and don’t get me wrong it was not terrible, it just wasn’t as good as I hoped. But give it a try and be sure to try the tots!
