Charleston's oldest restaurant. Founded in 1932, Henry's is the oldest contiguous restaurant in the state of South Carolina. Open 11AM - 2AM, serving lunch and dinner. Rooftop deck and live music nightly.

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat for lunch. Staff were friendly and courteous. Food was brought out fairly quickly and fresh. I had the BBQ pork sandwich with collard greens which were delicious. Nice old decor inside was neat to look at.

My first visit was amazing. Our food was delicious!!First we had the She Crab Soup. You will have missed the primo reason for going to Harry's of you don't orded the delectable, yummy, mmmm' good soup! I promise. For my main course, I had the chicken salad, oh my goodness, quite possibly the best I have ever had in my life. I chose Okra for my side. It was fried to perfection. My lunch companion had the Southern shrimp tacos. She did not leave a bite behind. Our waiter was fabulous. He kept my water glass filled with ice, exactly the way I always want it done! After we had lunch, a trip to the rooftop was on order. WOW, now that is another memory for my trip to Charleston. If you visit Henry's, it's a must-see. 👌 Perfect end to a perfect lunch! Hope I get to return very soon!

.enry's on the market is one of the oldest and most historical buildings in the area to have food. They have three levels. This is my second time being here, and the drinks are always great, and the food is amazing. The atmosphere is a beautiful old world Jazz vibe. My only complaint is that upon entering, no one greets you, not even the bar stuff they just stare at you. I had to ask if we see ourselves or if we wait on a hostess because we had been standing there for a good 5 minutes with no one saying anything to us. The bartender didn't even take a moment to say welcome to Henry's, or someone will be with you in just a mom .ent they just stared at you. It was definitely not an inviting and very pretentious attitude. However, the food is always great and definitely overshadows the staffs lack of customer service or attentiveness.

Had Shrimp and Grits before, but neither with brown gravy and She Crab Soup which had lots of crab meat was DELICIOUS! After finishing a tour in Charleston, SC guide suggested Henry’s in addition to folks saying you must try the Shrimp and Grits before leaving SC and I did.

This is one of the only places we found open later at night on a weeknight. The kitchen is open until 9:30 pm and then they change over to the bar. We ordered the gator bites and jambalaya. The gator bites were tender and very well seasoned. I asked for remoulade instead of the bbq sauce that came with it and I was so glad I did. The combination was delicious. The jambalaya was hot and flavorful. It was not spicy at all, so good for those who prefer something mild. The only complaint I have is the service. Our server was potentially having a bad day, but it was an awkward interaction. Unfortunately the worst service we encountered in Charleston.
