The quality of the meat and salad bar was better and cleaner than other Brazilian steakhouses I’ve been to. I wish that they had spaced out bringing the meats around. I feel like they came all at once in the beginning and then I got overwhelmed and too full ha ha.
The music,staff and food were on point at this historic Charleston building turned restaurant ! The meats were a plenty at this wonderful Brazilian steakhouse. The salad bar was ok. The dressings were underwhelming and the only two standouts were the leek salad and the apple salad. My husband enjoyed the rice and bean station. I thought a lot of the items tasted the same and were a bit too salty but the highlight were the meats . I enjoyed the ribeye,sirloin with charred edges and the gold steak!! Of all things,their grilled pineapple was my favorite. So delicious. My caparanea drink was good but at $18 I only had one. I miss that they were not made tableside like the shots cart. That would be worth 18 bucks. The tres leche was good but not having fresh whipped cream on it and cool whip instead was a downer. The staff were lovely and engaging. We will be back!!
This place really exceeded my expectations. My reservation was for 2 people celebrating my husband’s birthday and let’s in detail get into this review. I wanted to start off by mentioning how welcoming it was walking into this place, everyone was so kind and willing to make our experience the best! We were given a detailed description of what the menu consisted of and was welcomed to the well maintained salad bar. Everything about this salad bar was meticulous, delicious and savory. But it doesn’t end there! Not only was the salad bar fantastic, the gentleman walking around with various meats were so professional and watching them was a true art! Lastly, I just wanted to mention how attentive the wait staff was. They all work as a team and they all were very nice and kind and even treated my husband to a complementary crème brûlée which is his favorite dessert. I wanted to thoroughly thank this place for helping me make this the best day for my husband. You will be seeing us again Galpao Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse. You guys are the best!
Wow! Sooo good, and CG was awesome. Food the best! There are so many choices of protein! Salad bar packed with many choices of veggies, salads, and cheeses. Try the pineapple skewer! Lovely music. Pictures will show only a few entrees/proteins. Favs spicy sirloin and 24k gold filet mignon. An early dinner, 530, to catch the theater a short 5 minute walk away. Very convenient. After dinner, I took a stroll along pineapple park.
I visited several years ago and recall a good experience. This time around, it was subpar. The meats, including my usual favorite, parmesan pork, were flavorless. The textures were all off—rubbery and low quality. The same bar was adequate. Traditional cheese breads were small and hard with little flavor. The shrimp was the highlight, which is unfortunate given it's known for meats. Service was excellent, ambiance was nice.
