Everything was wonderful! We had the opportunity to stay in the presidential suite and it was phenomenal! Views, beds, towels, toiletries, everything was top of the line and so pretty to look at. The staff were so helpful and prompt and we felt so pampered and taken care of. It was so nice to stay in such a historic hotel and it was so convenient to anywhere we wanted to go! Will absolutely be coming back again!
We had the privilege of experiencing the charm of Charleston right from our hotel, and the staff truly made it unforgettable. I had lost a watch that held immense sentimental value to me. It had been nearly a month, and I was certain I had it with me. However, after searching for my box, it was nowhere to be found. I reached out to the hotel this morning, and within two hours, they informed me they had found my watch and would be shipping it back to me. I am beyond grateful that they kept it safe all this time and went above and beyond to return it. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. 10/10 experience!
This is not a modern hotel but it is beautiful nonetheless. The rooms have a historical feel but are not dated. With this being said, some slight maintenance could be done around the room such as fixing chipped paint and updating the toilets. We had a lovely view of the city. The location was perfect and allowed us to walk everywhere.
A True Gem in the Heart of Charleston!! I recently stayed at the Francis Hotel Marion, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warm hospitality that made me feel right at home. The hotel itself is a perfect blend of classic charm and modern comfort, with beautifully maintained interiors that reflect the town’s rich history. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully decorated, offering a cozy yet luxurious vibe. The attention to detail was evident in everything from the plush bedding to the well-stocked amenities. The on-site restaurant exceeded my expectations with a menu showcasing delicious local flavors, and the staff was attentive and accommodating throughout my stay. Silvie the waitress was so kind and friendly. The location is also ideal—within walking distance of Charleston’s main attractions and shops. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, the Francis Hotel Marion offers an experience that’s both relaxing and memorable. I can’t recommend it enough and look forward to returning!
Amazing location! Great staff! Comfiest beds! This hotel really impressed me for the price- I stayed here for a wedding in peak event season (September) and found a good deal on the Francis Marion! I loved how friendly the staff was and their willingness to provide us water bottles + other things to make our stay comfortable! The hotel had a Starbucks located directly under it which is very helpful when you’re in a rush or looking to grab a snack and is in walking distance from all the best shopping on King Street! Both my boyfriend and I were so impressed by how comfortable the bed was and how spacious the room was - we will definitely be returning soon!
