Dr. Arafat is the best, simple as that — my husband & I really enjoyed our appointment with him! He is so kind and educational while making you laugh. Summer was awesome to work with when getting our frames! She was very kind as well and had patience with us while we chose our styles. She also was very attentive to people walking in which I appreciate just as much. A great experience over all and I couldn’t be happier!
Dr. Arafat was so kind and professional. He was thorough and found issues with my vision that others had not. He corrected my vision so well. I haven’t been able to see this well in years. The staff were great also. Very upbeat and made a great impression. I won’t go anywhere else for my vision needs. They’ve got a permanent patient! I really appreciate each and everyone one of them.
This was my first time visit. Everyone was friendly. My OD was on it! I had eye surgery in FL prior to this visit and he did an extra thorough exam. I appreciated him going above and beyond for little ole me. I would recommend them. If there is a con, I stood a while at the counter waiting to be checked in before being told, the check in area is behind the wall. lol
Avoid this eye doctor—got two incorrect prescriptions! I first visited Dr. Arafat at Eye Associates West Ashley in July 2024, got glasses at LensCrafters, and my vision worsened. A follow-up in December led to a new prescription, but my vision issues persisted. After moving to GA, I had a third exam at LensCrafters in Anderson, SC, which revealed both previous prescriptions from Eye Associates West Ashley were WRONG!!! My glasses were remade three times before I finally got the correct prescription. Frustrating and time-consuming! I asked for a refund for my eye exam at Eye Associates West Ashley and they refused with a standard email containing this: *** Regarding your request for a refund of the $129 for your initial exam, we want to clarify that, as per our policy, we are unable to issue refunds for services that have already been rendered. Additionally, our practice offers a prescription recheck at no additional cost within six months of your initial exam date, which you took advantage of during your follow-up on December 5, 2024. While we understand that you’ve encountered some difficulties with your prescriptions, we cannot accommodate a reimbursement for time spent or expenses incurred outside of the services provided directly by our office. *** Avoid Eye Associates West Ashley SC. They don't take responsibiliy for their mistakes. Pathetic!
The eye exam went better then I had expected. Yearly exam I came in needing new glasses, and with added rental exam , knowing that no sign of Diabetes, Signs of high Blood Pressure and no signs of glaucoma. That was awesome. To know my eyes are healthy outside of needing new glasses.
