Went to Coastal Crust for lunch after our tiny wedding at the Village Library. It was our first visit, and the food was so good! We had the Mushroom Nero pizza and an order of the burrata. I had to pause for a minute because the first bite of the pizza was *that good.*
The staff also brought over a meat and cheese plate to celebrate our wedding. Everyone was so kind and friendly, and we really appreciated it!
I'd definitely visit again!

Coastal Crust Mount Pleasant – Where the Pizza’s Hot, the Vibes Are Chill, and the Kids Don’t Whine (Much)
So, here’s the scene: The Miles Fam just wrapped up a sun-drenched, sand-covered day at Isle of Palms. We were tired, hungry, slightly sunburnt, and dangerously close to a family-wide hanger meltdown. Enter: Coastal Crust — aka pizza paradise with a side of playground magic.
Parking? Easy. Like “I didn’t even have to circle the lot while mumbling bad words under my breath” easy.
Ordering? Walk-up window. No menus flying, no hostess stand confusion, just straight-to-the-point: What pizza dreams are we making happen today? We grabbed two pies (adult version and kiddo edition), a couple of cannolis because duh, and Diet Cokes (not ice cold, but hey, we’re not fancy).
Ten minutes later: BOOM. Our pizzas land. Hot, crispy, wood-fired greatness straight from a flame-licked oven sent by the pizza gods. We claimed a table, planted our number, and let the gremlins (aka our children) loose on the play area that’s literally an old truck turned into a mini jungle gym. It was like a Pinterest board exploded in the best possible way.
Meanwhile, live music floated through the air, the sun started setting, and we actually got to sit and eat while the kids were happily distracted. If you’re a parent, you know that’s the real five-star experience.
Atmosphere? 10/10. Food? 🔥. Family vibes? Immaculate.
Coastal Crust — officially Miles Fam approved.
Would eat again. Would bring the kids again. Would probably not share my cannoli next time.
Stay crusty,
The Miles Fam

Atmosphere is cool, but the food ND service were very bad. I ordered 2 pizzas (fig and prosciutto, and cheese pizza), and both were floppy, greasy, and over charred. My 4 year old enjoyed her slice of cheese, and she also really enjoys walmart brand microwave pizza. The bartender had an attitude all 3 times I went to pick up a drink. She was very unpleasant. I'll post a pic of the napkin after the grease from half a slice dripped on it.

Food was good- pepperoni and basil on gluten free crust & another pepperoni on regular crust. Pizza is wood fired and has that thin crust, rustic, floury thing going on. The kids tried the hot honey on theirs and loved it! The meat and cheese board was good as well. We went on a weekend and there was competing music between here and the bar across the street, lots of people, lots of kids playing on the playground in the seating area.

This place used to be better. We ordered, in person, two pizzas for takeout. 40 minutes goes by and nothing. So I asked if they knew how much longer and they went to check. She comes back 5 minutes later and tells me that it will be another 5 to 10 minutes. So over 50 minutes for two pizzas.
She said they were understaffed but I work in a restaurant too and if the orders are taking almost an hour due to staff issues, the right thing to do is to let the customers know that it's going to take longer than normal.
When we got home and opened the pizza boxes, the crust was burned on both pizzas. Not just a little burnt but black burnt crust. $50 for late burnt pizza, no thank you.
