They had some sort of leak going on when we were there. Place was empty. I had to walk to Harris Teeter to use bathroom.
Pasta itself was good. Al dente. Sauce was very bland. I had to add a lot of cheese and salt and pepper just to be able to eat it. You can see there's no consistency in meatballs. The bigger burnt one was actually better. Gnocchi was bland also. I don't think I have ever been to a place for pasta and not given bread with it. $18 for spaghetti with 2 meatballs is a little high. No bread..no side salad. The lemons for the water were slimy and the water tasted horrible. Which in turn made the iced tea taste bad.
When you sell pizza, my suggestion would be to at least add a dough stick to each order. Especially if your crust is good.
Unfortunately, this is a place that I would not revisit due to food and pricing.

SKIP IT.—- ZERO STARS—-
Warnings are true- we saw their pizza for months and finally decided to try it. I was next door and placed an order- was told 45 minutes and that I would be called when it was ready. I returned 30 minutes later to find it in a pizza warmer by the hostess stand. BARELY WARM. Since it was left in the bag with no air it was a soggy- cold-mess. I stood and waited TEN MINUTES for someone who worked there to ACKNOWLEDGE me. I paid $2 for the smallest side of sauce. $24 total. We were starving and ate half- trashed the rest.
Issue is the staff is too young and not trained and that’s on the owners.

Visited here on 5/3/2025. We ate outside and didn’t go inside so I don’t know about the inside. Service was great until our food arrived, then we didn’t see out waitress anymore. Had to go in and ask for our check and boxes. Went here with 3 parties. Our food came out at different times. First order came out and the second about ten minutes later. About 15 minutes later we had all of our food on the table. Pizzas were OK, nothing that makes me want to come back.

Firstly the service was perfect in the sense of being there. At no point did I feel as if I was unattended but never did it feel "pushy". Drinks and food were expedient yet did not feel as if quality was sacrificed. The food on the other hand? The best I've had in pizza. I ordered the grandma pizza. Olive oil, crush tomato, mozzarella and basil leaf. The crust was a delicate crunch of a gateway leading to a moist, soft and garlicky inside that feels like a perfect end to the slice. The pizza flop was a little too "floppy" but is easily solved with the New Yorker hold. Garlic is a distinct flavor in the pie, but it does not hide any other flavor. The cheese and basil tasted oh so fresh, perfectly balancing the flavors. Employees were kind without a feeling of manufactured kindness. As a New Yorker, as a pizza lover, and as a person with taste buds, I hate that I can't give Costal Crust more stars.
