First time wakeboarding and we had a blast with Spencer. He was patient with us being newbies and took his time explaining everything to us. We never felt uncomfortable and he was SO patient! We spent two hours on the water with him and enjoyed his stories and his outgoing personality. Do this if you want to make lasting family memories with your crew. 100% recommend and will happily book this next time we are in town!!!
Our three girls had never done wakeboarding before. With Spencer’s guidance each of them were able to get up on top of the water in just a few attempts. They had such a blast we booked two more sessions with him. He is great with kids and is an overall good dude! We will check him out next time we’re in Charleston.
Had a great time on the water with Spencer! We had young kids (4, 4, 7) in our group as well. Boat was very nice and perfect for tubing, wake boarding and wake surfing. He is a great teacher too! We will be booking again with Spencer!
Our recent ski boat outing with Spencer of Chucktown Watersports was outstanding from start to end. The trip involved both tubing and wake surfing on super scenic waters — the intercoastal waterway and Stono River. We even saw a few dolphins making their way up the river which was a cool surprise. Spencer welcomed us to the boat and made instant buddies with our three kids (15, 13, 7) while sharing the rules of boat safety. He made sure our youngest enjoyed the tubing without too aggressive a ride but then whipped the older kids around while pumping fun music in the boat. Then Spencer managed to teach us with patience how to get up on the wake surfboard, which was awesome fun (even with multiple wipeouts). If you're up for some seriously enjoyable tubing and wake surfing while in the Charleston area with a terrific driver and instructor (and brand new ski boat), then go with Spencer from Chucktown Watersports. Trust me, you’ll have a great time.
Spencer was awesome! Our kids - 17,13 and 10 had such a blast and have already asked when they can out with him again. Highly recommend for anyone with kids wanting to do some water sports while in town!
