I have been seeing Dr. Smouse for close to 10 years. He and the entire office staff are excellent, they have great customer service and top notch patient care. They’ve fit me in same-day a few times when I’ve had acute concerns. The office is easy to find with off-street parking. I highly recommend them!

I came here for a new patient visit because it was close to me and convenient, and I had a wonderful experience. The staff was so kind and cheery, and Dr. Smalls was great! Would definitely recommend!

I had an excellent experience in my appointment at Charleston Eye. Erica, Emily, and Dr. Smouse all made me feel welcome, promptly assisted me with each phase of the visit, and explained each part so I knew what to expect. The visit was efficient as in I didn't have to wait long between each part, but I didn't feel rushed at all - I asked all of my questions and was given great care. Would recommend!

Charleston Eye accepted me when I made a same-day emergency appointment for an eyelid infection. The eye doctor I saw prescribed me antibiotics that helped the swelling (which was significant) disappear within 7 days’ time. He had a kind and patient bedside manner, explaining to me exactly what happened and answering all my questions. Highly recommend!
