Our first visit to Charleston Distillery was when they were still in town. We loved it then. But now that they're out on John's Island, wow! What a setup! Mitch, the Chemist and brains behind operation, told us all about their new equipment and products. We tasted Carolina Reaper liqueur that was crazy yummy. And I loved my pecan old fashioned, which is made with another liqueur and their bourbon. The building is well appointed for indoor and outdoor seating and TVs. They now have a permanent food truck with a chef!! We'll be back -- we love it even more than the first time! 🥃
I had my son’s rehearsal dinner here and I couldn’t ask for a better and affordable place to have it! Alison was awesome, quick to respond to help with questions because I lived in Charlotte. Mitch was the drink master and had very delicious signature drinks! They were a big help! I received so many compliments.
What a cool space this is! I've had the pleasure of photographing a number of fantastic corporate events at the Charleston Distilling Co. The eclectic brewery decor, the close proximity to the heart of downtown, and the wonderful staff, all make it a winning combination in my book. I highly recommend it for your next company celebration, rehearsal dinner party, or corporate function.
We drove up to the Charleston Distillery and it was closed. Lo and behold, a super cool gentleman saw us peeking in and let us in to purchase a great bottle of Vesey’s Straight Bourbon which was fantastic! Can’t wait to go back. I’ll purchase spirits online until then.
This was a stop on our bachelor party tour. The distillery was neat and it was fun to watch everything getting made. I've been to a few distilleries and gone on their tours, but this was nice because it was bigger and it didn't take forever. This place makes their own gin, vodka and whiskey. They also have a cinnamon liqueur and a pepper vodka. The vodka and gin were the most interesting tasting version of it that I've ever had. If you have already done tours like these and are just looking for a place to drink, definitely skip the tour and just go to the bar that's in the distillery. They have a great selection of cocktails and you can buy bottles of their product right there. One other cool part about this place was the bathrooms. When you walk in, you'll see two GIANT barrels, the bathrooms are inside of the barrels. They were really nice and really clean.
