My two children have been studying at Charleston Academy of Music for almost 8 years, we are so impressed with the teachers and the facilities. My son has graduated Charleston School of Art high school and Irina Pevzner was an exceptional piano tutor who has truly inspired and influenced him during the school. Her teaching style was both patient and engaging, and she tailored each lesson to suit his learning pace. Under her guidance, he has made remarkable progress in playing the piano, but in his overall confidence. Irina’s passion for teaching and her dedication to her students are evident in every lesson. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found her, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a skilled and caring piano teacher!
As an experienced educator, I have learned to recognize teaching excellence in a variety of contexts. Mr. Corey Mike at Charleston Academy of Music is one of the finest examples of teaching excellence. My daughter has been taking private violin lessons from Mr. Corey for the past couple of years, and her advancement can be attributed largely to his dedication. Mr. Corey maximizes time in each lesson by listening, coaching, and modeling all of the essential skills needed to master a musical piece. Above all, Mr. Corey's calm and positive approach to teaching has motivated my daughter to want to continue to learn and grow in her eighth year of playing the violin.
My daughter has been taking piano lessons with Dr. Irina Pevzner at Charleston Academic of Music since 2013. Vanessa has learned a lot from Dr. Pevzner and continues to still enjoy learning with Dr. Pevzner. Charleston Academy of Music provides students with many opportunities to perform as well as to participate in competitions. Dr. Pevzner is a wonderful music teacher. She is always working hard to make sure her students achieve their goals. We greatly appreciate Dr. Pevzner and CAM for teaching my daughter for over ten years with lot of love and care!
Being a student of the Academy for more than 10 years, I've witnessed a continuously healthy learning environment for musicians for all ages. The instructors worked tirelessly to prepare performance opportunities and enriching classes that promote collaboration. I studied piano with Dr. Irina Pevzner during my time at the Academy, and I was always pushed to reach my full potential. She truly puts her heart into teaching and aims to spark her students' passion for music. Dr. Pevzner makes an immense impact on the Academy by understanding all of her students' learning styles and communicating great practice habits and effective techniques. I greatly appreciate Dr. Pevzner and CAM for shaping me into a more knowledgeable artist and performer and teaching etiquette and discipline.
