I love the vibe. Classy, light and vintage. A wide variety of menu options. Delicious food. We had the pleasure of chatting with the manager who was so friendly and conversational. I loved that management hopped up to help staff BEFORE they got backed up. Everyone seemed generally friendly. Very cut spot with a parking deck conveniently right behind them. Also they had a water tap with ambient water, chilled and sparkling water!
Only a short walk from the Charleston Market. This little gem is the perfect place to satisfy any sweet tooth while exploring the heart of Charleston, SC. They had a fantastic selection of desert alcoholic concoctions plus coffee drinks. Most of their deserts were also Gluten free, which was nice. The cakes are alittle rich for my tastes but I adore their banana pudding. Pricing was pretty good considering how big their cakes portions were. Overall a very welcoming open space. Seating is limited especially on busy hours. However, if you do snag a spot, the warm decor and inviting atmosphere makes it the perfect hang out spot.
Never have I ever went to a late night place where I have seen ranging from all ages, from every walk of life and Coffee, tea, cocktails, shakes, cakes, desserts, pizza in one place with iconic quality and electric vibe. ❤️🙏💯 We had the Tiramisu Shake Cocktail and tower of Carrot Cake
Amber & Rachel at Carmella’s Dessert Bar in Charleston are absolutely amazing! They made our trip extra special with their incredible mixology skills and top-notch service. The cocktails were out of this world—highly recommend the Espresso Martini or the Thin Mint Martini! This is not our first time visiting Carmella's we have been visiting annually since 2021. Each drink has always been crafted to perfection, and the atmosphere was just as fantastic. If you're in Charleston, Carmella’s is a must-visit, and Amber and Rachel will make sure you have an unforgettable experience. Ask for Them! Cheers!
Did you know Carmella’s just took home Charleston’s Choice 2024 award for best desserts? After our experience there on Sunday, I can confirm this is well-deserved! Besides the most iconic sweet treats, Carmella’s features a creative sandwich menu using house-made ciabatta, plus drunken shakes, coffees, breakfast options, and more. Paired with the most upbeat vibe and welcoming staff, I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a rainy day (or any day!) in Charleston. The chocolate peanut butter cake was next level! A rich brownie base stacked with layers of decadent chocolate cake and a peanut butter honey filling- it literally gave me the chills it was so good! Don’t forget to check out their seasonal menu; the pumpkin cheesecake is perfection!
