This restaurant was recommended to us by several local bartenders in the area and how good the food is. We were not disappointed by any means. The experience with the appetizer lava rock was intriguing and delicious. Please go for the wagyu when you order, it is well worth it! The aged prime rib, the mashed potatoes, and the stoned ground grits were absolutely delicious! This venue has a comforting vibe, friendly service, and amazing food! We would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to eat to anyone visiting Charleston. Also wanted to give a huge shout-out to our bartender Jo-Jo, he took care of us and made us feel like family with his jokes and friendly service.

This was my second time here, and what an amazing experience. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. I will absolutely be going back and highly recommended to anyone looking for a nice intimate dinner with a loved one or just a night out with family and friends. The ambiance was great.
Arrived for 715p dinner, and it was a short wait time. The hostess Destiny was very pleasant and attentive. My guy requested to sit in a booth table, and she was very accommodating. Our server Mike was the highlight of the evening. The first time we went here a few months ago, we had a great server too, Christina was super sweet and very helpful. However, this time, we got Mike as our server, and he was excellent entertainment and provided great recommendations. Mike was kind enough to take photos for us, made us laugh all night, was attentive, and made all the difference in a wonderful night out.
Let's talk about the food now...oh man, the steak was fabulous! The first we had the 24oz bone in ribeye and 16oz prime ribeye both with the steakhouse classic, which comes with asparagus and truffle mash potatoes. The prime ribeye had way more flavor than the bone in ribeye, but they were both cooked to perfection medium well was tender and juicy. The truffle mash potatoes are great. I'm not a person that usually eats asparagus, but it was good... had a nice flavor and a little crunch, not too tender. She crab soup was amazing. Ceasar salads were tasty. This time around, I had to get the 16oz prime ribeye, and it was absolutely delicious yet again... great flavor, juicy, and perfect tenderness, no fat on it. My guy had the Lump Crab & Shrimp Pasta, and he can not stop talking about how delicious it was. He said that's going to be his dish every time we go here. The shrimps were jumbo and meaty, the sauce was everything..finger licking good. As recommended by our server, Mike, he said that dish contained a lot of protein, and he was absolutely right. Also had fried calamari for appetizer and the seasoning on that was great. It was lightly breaded and fried nicely.
The dessert portion was fabulous. Last time, we tried the banana bread pudding, which was great, and this time, we tried the cheesecake, which was great it had the warm caramelized pineapples baked into it... so delicious. Both times I went with the chocolate cake, it was rich, creamy, and delicious each time.
We ordered drinks too, the old fashion with a Charleston originated whisky was very nice and a blueberry vodka cocktail with mint, that was so good. This place is also BYOB so I brought my own wine each time. I like that they bring the ice bucket stand to the table and uncorked it for us. I cannot remember if they charge the uncork fee but it's worth it either way.
The food consistency, flavors, atmosphere, drinks and customer service get 100% A+ from me. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

We visited Burwell’s on our trip to Charleston on Dec 26th. We were greeted by the owner. He was very friendly. We immediately knew we would have a good experience here. Most owners are no where to be found. The atmosphere here is modern and pretty. The food was very good. The crab meat that came with my filet Oscar was the nicest largest and sweetest I’ve had anywhere. Our waitress was so outgoing and attentive. Great food and superb service really made for a lovely experience. Highly recommend.

Amazing scallops, with Chris on sauteed, beautiful crust on them!!! Perfectly tender, full of flavor!!
The spaghetti squash was amazing as well, with the peppercorn sauce
8oz snake river Steak was alright, but not worth the price IMO. The fries were great, the deviled eggs were interesting, but not my cup of tea. The bone butter was great, truffle butter was a bit salty but still very pleasant.

Absolutely phenomenal dinner! We came in for New Year’s Eve and I couldn’t think of a better place to celebrate the end to a great year. From the food to the service everything was outstanding. Our waiter Parker was fantastic! We ordered the deviled eggs as an appetizer, filet and wagyu hanger steak (melts in your mouth) steakhouse style with truffle potatoes. Can’t wait to take all our friends and family here
