Several weeks ago I contacted Blitch Plumbing to fix a leak from the upstairs bath of a rental property. I described the leak and the conditions of it perfectly, that it occurred when the tenant took a bath and that it was most definitely coming from the overflow valve from the tub. The first "technician" dispatched cut a hole in my ceiling and determined that the overflow needed to be tightened, he described one screw as "stripped" (that had not previously been stripped) and he tightened the other one. He failed to check to see if the leak still persisted afterwards. Later that evening when my tenant took her bath (due to her recently broken foot) the bathtub started leaking onto the first floor, again. This time plain as day (since there's an unnecessarily large hole cut in the first floor ceiling) my tenant informed me, that just as we already knew it was coming from the overflow. I contacted Blitch Plumbing the following morning to inform them of the issue, and what their "technician" did and the fact that not only did he fail to fix my issue, but failed to even remotely try to or test the cause of the issue. (Nevermind the stripped screw that would take five minutes to fix if it wasn't for the fact that I live 4 hours away). Blitch Plumbing sent out a 2nd technician who confirmed that as I told them originally the overflow was causing the leak and that the pipe had deteriorated so whenever my tenant took a bath it would run out. The 2nd technician was professional and fixed the issue. The only concession Blitch Plumbing offered was waiving the $85 service call for the second technician. I prefer my work done professionally, quickly, and right the first time, however I'm now out of nearly $1,300.00 for one "technician" that ignored the work order entirely, and I'm having to pay a different professional to repair the unnecessarily large hole in my first floor ceiling. The good news is the 2nd technician actually fixed the leak. The bad news is not only did Blitch Plumbing waste my time, my tenants time, but they also wasted my money since it should have been able half of what they charged for the repair. The only reason I give them 2 stars instead of one is because the 2nd technician was helpful and fixed the problem, however management was uncaring regarding the issues with the first technician and only wanted to concede the 2nd $85 service fee. I'd stay far away from this company.

My dad is a plumber in Chicago and I always call him for advice and to have him walk me through plumbing things I can handle myself. Unfortunately he stated my leak was due to a faulty joint in a pipe that was leading to my hot water heater. Due to its complexity he recommended I find a local plumber to replace it for me. Blitch were the first people that could arrive (4 days after I called) and since it was actively leaking I felt I had no choice but use them. After they arrived they looked at it, let me know the price would be $395. I thought that was insane for replacing a joint. My dad said it should've been $250 tops! I ended up having them replace it since it had been actively leaking for days at this point. What they replaced it with looks like it cost them about $40 and it took them approximately 45 minutes to do. Absolute robbery. I would definitely search around before hiring this company and being ripped off.

While out recovering from a surgery our church in Goose creek had a back up in the kitchen. I’m responsible for the maintenance at the church. When the tech arrived, it was passed on to me that, they were professional and competent and resolved the issue after locating the clog further down the drain than expected. Very pleased with this company. This is the second time we have used them. Decently priced, quick response, punctual and professional! Thank you Blitch!

We had a great experience with Blitch Plumbing. Roger came and assessed what we needed and returned after we located a hard to find replacement faucet for our kitchen sink. This job was very challenging due to a lack of space and the old plumbing being corroded. Roger was patient and repaired it as well as cleaned everything up when he finished. We will definitely recommend them to our friends and family.

Had an appointment set up with Blitch Plumbing to find where the water in the bottom of my cabinet next to the dishwasher was coming from. The technician arrived and I told him where the water was in the bottom of my cabinet. I asked him to check the dishwasher approximately 3 times and he said the water line was in the front and the water would be on the floor in front of the dishwasher. He then said he had to cut the bottom of the cabinet to see where the water was coming from. He did that and said the water was probably coming from the outside between the siding and the interior wall. He wrote up the invoice stating no interior water leaks. The price was $271.50 for leak detection. I then called my insurance and they sent a leak detection company out. He checked the foundation and exterior in the vicinity of the cabinet and didn't find anything. He then asked me if he could check the dishwasher. I said please do. I tried to get the plumber to do it and he did not. The technician ran a quick wash and water was pouring out of the dishwasher at the back near the motor. TIME TO FIND A NEW PLUMBING COMPANY!!!!
