Purchasing a house that was a rental to absent owners for more than a decade is always a gamble. We lost the dice roll on a leaking 90"x90" plastic block window in the en-suite bathroom. It was difficult finding a local company that didn't want to fight me about replacing every window in my home and just do the needed work. Cue John! Atlantic Property Restoration was easy to work with from Day 1. My homeowner's insurance was unhelpful even with the expert quote and conversation with John - he really knows what he's talking about - and I ended up having to pay the entire repair out of pocket. John took the time to go over everything that would and could happen with the repair, showed me what was really crappy in the original build quality and how they were making it better, and treated my home with total respect. The water damage was thankfully less extensive than we feared and now you'd never know there had been anything amiss at all. The upgrade to a USA-made privacy textured plate glass window is top notch work. Our previous "window" was plastic block set in a drywall cutout. Very basic, cheap, effective. Our new proper window is fully framed out. Clean, classic, beautiful. The siding on my home is 17 years old, sun bleached with tape damage from the leak stop-gap. Most of it was unable to be reinstalled. John found a close-enough match to get the wall put back together. Good work! We will be replacing all the siding soon enough, along with all our other windows, and I say with confidence that Atlantic Property Restoration will be the company to do it. I can’t say enough how happy we are that we hired John. Our “problem” started off small but, as with most repairs, he kept uncovering serious issues that could’ve been disastrous had they not been brought to the forefront. Not only did he and his crew work hard but they worked with skill and concern. John and his guys treated us and our home with the utmost respect. John was in constant contact with us and documented each item he uncovered. Of course, our project went over our initial estimate due to the unseen damages and extra required repairs. However, John treated us fairly and expeditiously in terms of budget and our timeline. We plan on using him for all of our upcoming projects.
We had a very poor experience with Atlantic Property Restorations. They were hired to repair some damage after a water leak. Their quote seemed high, but the positive reviews promoted us to go ahead with them since we thought it would mean higher quality work. On the day they did the repairs, the existing materials weren't able to be entirely reused. We let them know where new materials were. Instead of finishing the job, they left it incomplete then aggressively demanded full payment for the job. When we emailed to check to see if things were complete, the owner sent us an unprofessional rant attacking our property management company. As property owners, we deal with a lot of contractors and this one has been one of the least professional.
