Took my wife here for a date night, and the atmosphere was great! The servers were knowledgeable and kind, and the seafood was top notch. It is pretty loud in there due to the acoustics, but that doesn’t take away from the experience at all. If you want to come here, make sure to get reservations ahead of time, as it is not a large restaurant. Also, their house made hot sauce is AMAZING! They sell it in store for $7.50 a bottle, and it is well worth it in my opinion. For an appetizer we ordered the sweet and spicy shrimp, which were very crispy and had a good spice level to them. The crab stuffed flounder was also very, very good. Highly recommend if you’re willing to spend a little money and willing to try and find parking!
Great food, location, noise level, service. Consistently positive experiences every time we come (from Utah). Children came this visit and enjoyed the food, too! Date salad wirh scallops was wonderful blend of sweet and savory. Shrimp and grits is always exceptional. Fish tacos also tasty!
This was probably one of the best lunches I have ever had… 10/10! We started with the raw bar sampler, then got hush puppies and the shrimp po boy. The mussels in the sampler were absolutely amazing, they even had a custom hot sauce on the table to pair with which was delish. Hush puppies were the perfect texture and so flavorful! The local honey for dipping was insane. The shrimp po boy was so yum!! The bread was buttery and crunchy. Everything also was served picture perfect and the atmosphere and decor was a vibe. Will definitely be back next time we’re in Charleston and would recommend to anyone visiting the area! You don’t want to miss this place.
Had our favorite meal of our 5 day trip here and the BEST service too!! We loved our experience so much we contemplated eating there 2 nights in a row :) The scallops dinner had huge perfectly cooked scallops with the best risotto I’ve ever had. My husband got the special - crab stuffed flounder. Also outstanding. Also loved the shrimp corn dogs. Our server Michael was extraordinary and a wealth of knowledge and hospitality.
I will tell you that Amen Street Fish & Bar atmosphere and the menu are one of the best when it comes to fine dining in Charleston. In addition, ask for a dozen oysters with 2 of each of the type in order to taste all. Please ask for Waitress “FELICIA” the best here at Amen Street Fish & Bar. She has a wealth of knowledge concerning their menu, definitely friendly and personable. Please take visit and I promise you won’t be disappointed
