Beautiful and historic restaurant. Very elegant. Insist on a table in the outside garden. It is the best place to sit.
The three staff at the hostess stand were not at all friendly. None of them smiled or made us feel welcome.
The food was not quite as good as we
remembered. The Chef may be a bit
off his game. Service was decent
but, didn't match the prices.
The Jambalaya was dry and needed a considerable amount of the signature "82 Queen hot sauce" for flavor. I would not recommend it. The Crab cakes however, were very good!
We come to Charleston several times each year and there are PLENTY of excellent restaurants from which to choose. Sadly, this is no longer on the list.

1 or 2 on our top ten for Charleston. Just Wow. Terri was our server and was absolutely terrific. You cannot beat the atmosphere of this place. The food, outstanding! Portions are just shy of being generous and plates a bit slow to get to the table, but who cares when you are on Charleston time right?! Highly recommend this restaurant. Parking garage is right across the street. Awesome.

We went in Sunday early evening for dinner and wisely chose the outdoor courtyard. What a lovely atmosphere. Outstanding service (thank you, Kyla!). In addition to the entrees shown, we also had she crab soup and an order of calamari to share. Entrees were fantastic and desserts were to die for. I can not get that bread pudding out of my mind. If you’re visiting, you should consider this restaurant for a real Charleston experience.

We absolutely love this place! Our last visit to Charleston was upstairs, which was lovely. This time, we dined in the courtyard, which added a delightful ambiance to the experience. It reminded me of the French Quarter in New Orleans. I had the Fish and Grits, and it was absolutely delicious! The crunch of the fish, the creaminess of the grits, and the perfect seasoning made it a culinary delight. My friend had the shrimp n’ grits which was devoured—lol. . I’ll definitely be back!

We absolutely loved our experience here! Staff were friendly and our food was seasoned perfectly. The fish and grits were amazing with crispy, flavorful fish. The shrimp was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend!
