This Charleston restaurant is truly one of a kind. It’s not your typical dining experience—the fixed-course menu is thoughtfully curated, and each course is full of flavor and creativity. I’ve been twice now, and both times I left feeling like my palate had been expanded in the best way possible. The service is exactly what you’d expect from a five-star restaurant: attentive, knowledgeable, and warm. The atmosphere is equally stunning, creating the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable meal. The first portion of the menu is honestly a work of art—visually and in taste. This is the kind of place I’d absolutely recommend for a special occasion or a memorable night out.
We had a fantastic meal tonight at Zero George. From when we walked in until post dessert the staff was on point. If we could eat 'snacks' every afternoon here, that would be a sweet life. All of the flavors were carefully crafted to go together. We would highly recommend if you have something special to celebrate, this is the place to dine. Thank you for a splendid evening.
Zero George is the most charming, intimate, and quiet boutique hotel in Charleston. From the beautifully maintained grounds to the thoughtfully designed rooms, every detail exudes elegance and comfort. The exceptional customer service, paired with delightful touches like wine and cheese hour, turndown service, and breakfast, truly sets this hotel apart. We typically try a new hotel each year for our staycation, but Zero George is one we can absolutely see ourselves returning to. Their restaurant is an experience in itself—the tasting menu is not only delicious but presented with true artistry. The location is ideal—close enough to walk to Charleston’s main attractions yet tucked away in a peaceful spot, making it the perfect place to unwind with a good book. If you’re looking for a truly dynamic Charleston experience, look no further. Zero George is simply exceptional!
This property is one of my favorite properties in Charleston. I am a local, native - my husband and I try to do a staycation every month. While we have not stayed at every property in downtown Charleston, we have stayed at most. Zero is one of our favorites. It is charming, historic, tastefully thought out and the service is impeccable. Everyone is kind, helpful and always smiling. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. This property is a must stay. It is a destination, since it has a restaurant and additional bar on property. It is a nice escape once you’ve finished your sightseeing and shopping a few blocks away. We adore this property - quaint and stylish. Keep in mind, the rooms and restaurants are in historic buildings, so you will be able to hear others in their rooms. With only 16 or so rooms - it has never bothered us but needs to be mentioned. Once you enter the gates, you feel like you are staying in a historic home in Charleston - a with courtyards and lovely landscaping. Their complimentary happy hour wine and cheese and breakfast is definitely generous and delicious - it is not some take and go situation. Whatever you need, the property will go to great lengths to try and accommodate. It is a special place, a treat to enjoy while you are in Charleston.
Never disappoints! My wife and I recently returned to 0 George. It was our first visit since the pandemic. I really thought back then that they couldn't possibly do a better job, but they have! They added a caviar bar! Staff is always great, rooms are always great, and the location so close to town makes it the only place to stay in Charleston. Huge shout out to Marc! I am confident he has already had several, but he has earned every one of them. Plain and simple, we will be back.
