Recommendations: Tour the ships, the gift shop, the museum and the Vietnam experience. They are all eye opening. Plan for 4+ hours if you want to take your time and digest it all. Tours: We did the non-guided tours. Took about 3 hours. Wish I would have went earlier in the day so we could try the cookies and not been rushed. Service: Everyone was pleasant and they were all smiling. Building/ships: They are all huge. Bathroom: Bathrooms on the ship are cool. They are updated for a public/current time frame, but if you pay attention, you’ll notice old technology still hanging around. Parking: Paid parking. 20$ if I remember correctly. Notes: Add this stop to your travels. You won’t be disappointed. Hit the thumbs up and give me a follow. I’m trying to be relevant or something. It’s my only bragging rights.

Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum is a must-visit! The experience was both educational and awe-inspiring. The exhibits are well-curated, offering a deep dive into naval history. Walking through the USS Yorktown was a highlight, with plenty of interactive displays and knowledgeable staff ready to answer questions. The views from the deck are breathtaking, providing a perfect backdrop for learning about our nation's maritime heritage. Whether you're a history buff or just looking for a unique outing, Patriots Point is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

A bit on the expensive side, it is an amazing museum that allows you to explore the old Destroyers and Aircrafts that was in service for WWII, the Korean War, and Vientum War, along with a Vientum Mesume and a WWII submarine. The only reason not to go is not interested in history, having difficulty in walking, or being expense due to cost of parking and buying a ticket to enter. However, if interesting in history, I highly recommend the place.

I am by no means a history buff, nor do I know literally anything about American history as a Canadian, but this was an exceptional experience. We did the captain’s guided tour with Paul W. and he was so amazing and knowledgeable! The captains tour gives you sneak peeks at things that you wouldn’t not otherwise see, so if it’s within your budget I would totally recommend it. I would also recommend bringing water and sunscreen, because you are in a literal metal sauna and you do end up in the sun for some parts of the tour. The Vietnam experience was also very educational and I’m very grateful to have learned about it because it is not really taught in our Canadian education system - this was the most I had ever learned about it.

One of the best tours I've ever been on. Very immersive, with lots to look at, learn about, and even touch. My 6 year old loved it! Also had an amazing Vietnam War exhibit.
