The dungeon and museum are both amazing. Really takes you through the history of Charleston. Some cool artifacts and way figures across the building. Staff is great and really easy to start a conversation with. I highly recommend you do this if you're in Charleston.

We thoroughly enjoyed taking the tour and learning about the building’s rich history. The dungeon aspect was particularly intriguing, and it would have been missed if we hadn’t taken the tour. The cost is quite reasonable, making it a worthwhile investment. However, it might be a bit too slow for young children.

Great stop for history enthusiasts (mostly kept discussion to the Revolutionary period). And you get a discount if you're a teacher or veteran. The dungeon part of the tour went by fairly fast, but they have more story-telling and information in the exchange portion of the building so once we saw all that I felt like it was worth it.

My husband and I have been on this tour before, but we still learned so many new and interesting facts..and lore! Our guide was Michael Yates, and he was amazing. He does warn you that he walks and talks fast..but we were game! He used to be a history teacher, so his knowledge is incredible. Our teenage son went with us and he really enjoyed the stories as well. The dungeon is just a really neat place to visit to truly understand some of our national history...and the conditions people lived in.
