Awesome musicians, the best at what they do. We rent a child’s violin from them and it has been good to us. Zero issues! Also, I have had many questions as it relates to my child and her musical development and Mike and Lauren both have not hesitated to help and provide direction! I would highly recommend them!

I recently enrolled our son to participate in Strings at his elementary school. I was looking at two options, Tidewater Strings and another company that would ship me the violin. The prices for the company that shipped the violin were $4 less, but the onus of understanding, measuring, remembering to get the stand, resin, book, etc. were on me. Additionally, I would have to manage the shipping and timing of receiving the instrument in conjunction with any repairs that would need to be completed. I was around that area and found myself outside of Tidewater Strings. It was a fluke that I met one of the owners, Mike, outside of the store front, but I’m glad I did! Mike walked me through the process of completing the rental agreement online. When I brought my son in to be fitted for the violin, Lauren and Mike made it so easy! They knew the process and the items needed, as they are well familiar. They have children and easily spoke and interacted with my son with respect, walking him through how to take care of it and any questions he had. I walked out of Tidewater Strings in less than 20 minutes with an instrument, insurance, a stand, bow, resin, book, and the knowledge that if we needed help with anything regarding the instrument, Mike and Lauren will take care of quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend Tidewater Strings!

East Cooper Music was recommended to me by a friend when my son decided to take up violin. I had an old viola from when I played many years ago, in decent condition, that was just collecting dust. I brought it in to see if they could do a trade or give a credit towards my son's rental. They worked with me, gave me a great deal/trade, and were the nicest people. I definitely recommend working with them!

I have an instructor whose name is Bob who has been teaching me how to play guitar for about four months. He is a great instructor and has taught me alot. The staff is extremely nice and im so glad I stopped by to learn guitar.
