I am from NY/NYC and trust me when I say I know this is the best NY pizza place in Charleston.
I do worship pizza tbh. Borderline obsession with trying new pizza places & there has never been a moment where I didn’t “feel” like picking up a pizza. I love pizza in all forms; coal fire, thin, deep dish, fast food pizza, BUT I stay craving NYC pizza alll the time.
PizzaVola has stopped us in our tracks and we keep going back for more. We’ve probably picked up there maybe 8-10 times now? We also live deep in West Ashley and still take the drive to get it (they have it on uber eats but it’s not worth the delivery charge).
95% of the time it’s been excellent- there was one night that it wasn’t the same quality and I ONLY SAY THAT because I urge you if you tried their pizza for the first time on a slammed night please give them another chance. (Per one of the reviews below) ••
Every restaurant has nights where they are busy or they have new crew… once out of 10 times is pretty consistent epic quality.
We got takeout last week that made us happy sigh and happy dance with every bite. Perfection. The pizza sauce is perfect, the crisp crust, the mozzarella. Everything. Unmatched. Only Sicilian that is actually a real Sicilian pizza. The hot honey pepperoni is killer. I love a classic margarita moment and that never disappoints. When we came in to pickup this last time we stopped in our tracks and HAD to try a slice they were offering by the slice. I cannot remember the name, don’t know if it was a special and I didn’t take a picture because we devoured it while driving in 2 minutes. It was a meatball sub pizza but it had a crust on the top and bottom. It tasted like garlic knot dough on-top of the toppings then covered again with crispy mozzarella. You MUST try it next time you go, insane. It was legendary.
Seriously, incredible pizza & if you are from up north looking for a real deal NY slice this is it.

As someone who has lived here their whole life, it’s damn near impossible to find a good “by the slice” spot. These guys are crushing it not only with flavor but with fantastic specials. Don’t sleep on the sandwiches

Just had my first pizza vola experience and it was incredible! The food was so fresh and authentic and the price point was amazing! The owner Justin is a true gentleman and professional. My family and I will most certainly be back and I can’t wait to tell my community about this hidden little gem on James Island.

Great little pizza place! Found out about it on the low country eat out Facebook page. Had to check it out while we were close. The place was clean, pizza tasted fresh, and the service was good. We are in Summerville and I wish it was closer. Going to have to make it a point to go there when we head out towards folly. Not sure whatever the pinwheel consists of, but it was sooooo good. I had the buffalo chicken one and had another slice for lunch at 12. I literally was so full and didn't want to eat dinner. Great value for what you pay. Definitely check out this place!

Seen a lot of mixed reviews but decided to take a chance and i’m so glad we did! We ordered the works pizza which is like a supreme and wings with ranch. GOTTA HAVE THE RANCH! It was delicious and they delivered our food within 30 minutes!
