I have taken my Boyd, a Jack Russell Service Dog, to Dawn for 6-7 years and have never had one problem nor complaint. She is the best groomer in Charleston, I tried several, the only one I trust fully with my dog and she treats each of her clients as family. All dogs are shown kindness, compassion and love. I schedule well in advance, take him early and pick him up within an extremely reasonable amount of time. I have never experienced overbooking delays, all day stays, bad cuts or service. Boyd and I give her 10 stars, Ms. Dawn is the Best!

We love Dawn. We bring our three dogs there and she gives them great cuts. Drop off early and pickup sometimes between 3:30 and 5:00. My dogs don't mind the wait. They sleep.

Dawn did a great job with my cat, Yoda. I will definitely return for his grooming.

The person who took my dog did not listen at all to what I requested for my dog’s groom. I took her in at 8:45 am and returned at 2:30pm and sat in the parking lot waiting for a call. After about 30 minutes they all came out at the same time to have a cigarette break. I left after being told that she had not been completed and it would be 30-45min. I never received a call so returned after not getting a call at 4:30 and when I walked in they said she was ready and was about to call. I would never subject my fur baby to that torture again. And to top it off the total opposite of what I requested was done☹️

I originally gave a 5 star review and was loving my experience obviously from my previous post from 5 months ago. I really hate leaving bad reviews and rarely do but I left feeling very upset. To be fair I kept my original review from 5 months ago below. Unfortunately, Last week I took my dog here and it will be my last time. I think it was honestly just a day where too many dogs were booked to be groomed and unfortunately my dog was left to be last. I dropped my dog off at 9:30am and my dog wasn't ready until 5pm so I was already a little thrown about how long he was there. I have a long haired dog that I always request for him to NOT be shaved. My dog was not only shaved, but done so terribly. His hair was cut very uneven and choppy and the hair around his mouth was obviously untouched which gave me the impression he wasn't even washed. It's not even so much the fact that he received a bad hair cut, but more so how it was handled. Instead of apologizing and obviously running out of time and had to rush my dog's haircut, I was told my dog was matted and had to be shaved which was not true in the slightest. I would probably come back if it was addressed as an honest mistake instead of how it was handled. Original review: Dawn is awesome! We have a Havanese that would always get shaved no matter what we would tell the groomer. They kept our Charlie fluffy (but neat and well groomed). Couldn't be happier with how his cut turned out! Will definitely be a regular customer! Just referred this company to my mother in law who has the same breed as us too!
