I based my decision on taking my Havanese to Luxurious Dog Spa based on their positive reviews. I dropped Maddie off and asked for a trim, asked her to keep her hair long because it’s November and it’s cold. I pick up Maddie and she’s completely shaved - a summer cut in the middle of November!!!???? Cathy stated she was matted- her legs were tangled due to being low to the ground and walking in the rain. She was not matted! I DID NOT receive a phone call telling me they could not do what I asked- Cathy says, “oh, her hair will grow out.” WTH!?! I would have taken her to someone experienced grooming a Havanese type dog. My baby does not like wearing clothes and now she is shivering. What gives a groomer the right to do what they want without contacting the pet parent?! I will not return!!!!
I have had the hardest time finding a groomer that took the time with my very anxious pup. This groomer did an absolutely amazing job with my sweet Mabel! Instead of rushing on a dog who isn’t very fond of her face being groomed, I can tell they absolutely took the time to make sure Mabel felt comfortable. She looks so precious and they gave her the exact haircut I had been asking for. They also gave us little goody bags for the holidays which was so sweet and thoughtful. Highly highly recommend!
They did a great job with my very matted poodle. Everyone is super friendly. Also notable this is one of the first groomers i have ever taken one of my dogs to where my pup was happy to walk in the door and meet her groomer every time. Places i have gone to in the past after the 2 or 3 visit my dogs would get reluctant to go. Not so here. My dog loves her groomer and she gets so excited to see all the employees.
I am new in the area and I tried a couple of groomers my dog would not go back into the salon when we brought him back there . I was not happy with them at all. Luxurious dog spa and salon is the best one I have been too. My Collie who is 11 and has trouble with his back legs they were caring, patient, gentle , kind and wonderful with him. I Love everything about this place. Everyone who works there you can see how much they love dogs and how happy they enjoy grooming them. They did a gorgeous job grooming my collie . This is My new groomer .😊 Highly recommend them .
I’ve tried many groomers here in Charleston and this is one of the best! They always do a great job, Cathy (I believe that’s her name) was very attentive and did a perfect cut on my cocker spaniel Molly, she looks stunning and exceeded my expectations. Can’t wait to return worth every penny!
