I brought my 3 year old Siberian, Vladimir, in for a plush cut. He looks fabulous, and though they said he got a bit spicy, they handled him so well. Finding a groomer that actually grooms cats is hard to do in Charleston, so I'm glad I found this fantastic group of women specializing in grooming cats. It's not an easy job! The space is bright, clean, smells amazing, and is staffed with incredibly nice and obviously talented staff of women. I would recommend them to ANYONE with a cat. Especially cats with long hair, like Forest cats, Persians, and Ragdolls. The expertise, knowledge and care for your felines is unmatched, and Vladimir will never go anywhere else from now on. Their Instagram is full of fantastic tips, tricks, and advice on how to care for the kitties in your life. Cannot say enough good things about this business. So very impressed.
I brought my (formerly feral) rescue cats here for their first bath ever, and was very apprehensive to leave them because they have nervous dispositions. When I walked in I was struck by how calm all the cats were, how clean the shop was, and how nice the staff was! Nothing like any experience I’ve ever had at any dog groomers, that’s for sure. I didn’t get the name of the woman who checked my cats in, but she was so so nice! Commented on how beautiful they are and asked how I came to have them, explained the bathing/drying process to me, asked if I had any questions, and alleviated all my concerns. She told me to give them 3 hours since it was the first time, but they were done within 2! When I got there, she told me they did great (to my surprise) and explained that they didn’t like the dryers too much (therefore I wasn’t surprised or annoyed when I found a couple damp spot on their backs). It is really expensive, but for peace of mind, it’s a fair price in my opinion. I honestly wish they did dogs too! 10/10 would recommend.
The Charleston Cat Groomer ( Whitney and all of the ladies) are absolutely the best! We have been with Whitney for 4 years now and would never let anyone else touch our kitties. She is extremely knowledgeable and can handle my sweet little snowflake and our spicy man Rocket! They alway look amazing at pick up and you can tell they enjoyed their day at the spa!
I didn't ask for my cats nails to be trimmed, they were trimmed. I asked for a booty trim. He was trimmed close all the way up to his neck. Thank goodness it'll grow back. He peed in his crate. Suggestion to put a pee pad in the crate was appreciated cuz they had to shampoo him. He came home very damp. I'll go there again now that I know what to do and ask for.
Calli, my tortie/calico cat of 8 years started to look extremely neglected. That was she hated anyone touching her except on her conditions. So needless to say it was very difficult founding a groomer who would be willing to put up with her. Charleston Cat Groomer did as great a job as they could do under the circumstances. Unfortunately she needs to be anesthetized which I figured would be the end result which is scheduled for mid July. The groomers were very friendly, informative, knowledgeable and reassuring. I'm looking forward to seeing my cat cleaned up and looking beautiful. She is a wonderful cat!!
