I had an excellent experience in my appointment at Charleston Eye. Erica, Emily, and Dr. Smouse all made me feel welcome, promptly assisted me with each phase of the visit, and explained each part so I knew what to expect. The visit was efficient as in I didn't have to wait long between each part, but I didn't feel rushed at all - I asked all of my questions and was given great care. Would recommend!

Charleston Eye accepted me when I made a same-day emergency appointment for an eyelid infection. The eye doctor I saw prescribed me antibiotics that helped the swelling (which was significant) disappear within 7 days’ time. He had a kind and patient bedside manner, explaining to me exactly what happened and answering all my questions. Highly recommend!

Small practice with fast, friendly, and professional service. The eye doctors take the time to both give a great exam but ask questions about any other health issues that could impact your eyesight. Great convenient location in downtown Charleston

I have come to Dr. Smouse twice with two eye injuries and he is simply the best there is. The new location has easy parking, and great options for buying new glasses. I wouldn't go to anyone else.

Had a great first visit the other day! It's easy to find with off street parking available, the office is clean and welcoming, and everyone was friendly and efficient. I highly recommend Charleston Eye.
