Employees were rude, mean and condescending. Options were limited and boring. Barely anything original. Staff practically pushed us out the store. Please save your time and keep walking! We were disgusted by the “customer service” if you don’t LOOK like MONEY. They’ll treat you like TRASH apparently! We have lived on Coleman for years and will be sure to let the locals know, beware of this poor excuse of a store! We were all appalled by the behavior of some of the employees and the business owner should be ashamed to show face in Mount Pleasant. 0/10 would not recommend! Have fun dealing with tourist and kids because with that kind of behavior, it’ll be your customer base if any. Some poor excuse of “southern charm” might wanna do yourself a favor and visit Village Emporium next door. Staff was welcoming, kind and great selection! One of kind finds at Village Emporium. If you want cheap, walmart style furniture you’d be happy at Steven Shell where the customer service is non existent.

Lots of options, the store is very big and things are well displayed. But everything seemed very pricey!

I used to love Steven Shell and bought 2 small cabinets and several artifacts there many years ago when they first opened. They offered well priced furniture imported from Indonesia I believe. Several years ago as they expanded, their stock changed along with the low prices and the merchandise, to me, is very plain and ordinary...the showroom overflows with sofas and yet they all look the same and none offer any interesting styling. I miss the old store.

Terrible experience. We purchased a rug here that was on the floor for display. The sales woman sold us the rug then told us to come back the next day to pick it up so that they could steam and vacuum it for us. She calls us the next day to say that she got “caught up in the moment” and sold it to us when really it wasn’t for sale then proceeded to suggest we go shop for rugs at Lowe’s. As others have suggested it seems like they try to judge who’s walking in the door. Very strange experience would never shop here again.
