When we decided to come to Charleston for vacation, one of the things on our "to eat" list was Callie's based on seeing her on TV so often. Sadly, we were disappointed this morning. We visited the city market location at about 10 a.m. and got no smiles or personality from the staff. The biscuits were dry and hard, like they'd been sitting out awhile, and my egg had cold spots. My husband ordered the fiery pimento cheese on his otherwise plain biscuit. Not only was it plain pimento, there was barely a tablespoon of the stuff.
The mint sweet tea and coffee were good at least.

This place is amazing! We had the three mini biscuits, the blackberry, cheddar, and buttermilk, which were really good. We had biscuits and gravy as well, which was also very good. Then, the next day, we had more mini biscuits, blueberry biscuits, and sausage, egg, and cheddar biscuit. We loved all of it. The staff were super helpful and kind. Great cold brew! We will be back the next time we visit the area.

I was in town all the way from Detroit visiting family due to a death in the family. My brother and I decided to explore downtown Charleston. I've had an unusually difficult time finding good gluten free options in general, let alone the quintessential Southern fare. So, I was ecstatic and surprised when I saw y'all had gluten free biscuits available! The staff answered all my questions about cross-contamination and made me feel assured my intestines would be in good hands. Staff were absolutely amazing- great energy, cheery, and welcoming. Dealing with Celiac Disease the past 12 years I've heard all the moans and groan, eye rolls and attitudes you can imagine. The staff alone gives this place 5 stars. I wasn't even prepared for how fast and fresh everything would be. I received my biscuit promptly with a smile. I got the pimento cheese biscuit, I just had to get it, I'm in the South afterall. I wanted to try both the original and jalapeno and she graciously gave me a little of both. It was absolutely amazing! The biscuit was so buttery and delicate, the crumb was amazing! It was light, but definitely stuck to my ribs. The most authentic gluten free biscuit I've ever had. This was definitely the most satisfying and truly Southern food experience I've had since being here, and I doubt anything will top this. Thank you so much for offering gluten free items! You have no idea how frustrating it is traveling with dietary restrictions. You guys restored my faith in this area. If I lived here I'd be getting it this weekly. I'll remember to come back any time I'm in the area! Price was also pretty good! Best part is, I didn't get sick! 🙏🏼

These biscuits are exactly what you imagine a delicious southern buttery biscuit should be. We chose the buttermilk, blackberry jam and cheddar. They did not disappoint. They each had their own unique texture and flavor and melted in your mouth. We visited the location inside the Charleston Market. It was fabulous.

Decent but not the best biscuit I’ve ever had. I had gotten such a strong recommendation from someone that perhaps I had set my expectations too high. However the workers there were friendly and helpful, and it was a decent breakfast
