I’ve had le chambertin on my list to visit for a while, and finally decided to stop in for lunch today. It’s a small spot off broad street, and has seating for about 14 outside. The atmosphere is very cute and quiet, a great place for studying. The staff are also very friendly. I got the ham and cheese baguette and the egg tart pasty and both are delicious! I would recommend it, and I look forward to visiting again.

This authentic French bakery is the real deal! As soon as I walked in this bakery I felt like I was transported into another country. The pastries are truly a work of art! The almond croissant was hands down the best pastry I have ever had… so good I’m still left day dreaming about it. The Le Chambertin bakery was one of the top highlights of our trip to Charleston! If you are in the area it is a must! Thank you for an unforgettable experience, we will be back! :)

A rare, authentic, unassuming space in Charleston. The owners are talented bakers, and wonderful to talk to. Their sweet dog is like a cartoon character with his little red scarf. The almond croissant is the best pastry I’ve had in this city. By far. We need more places like this.
I’ve read through other reviews of this place that make me ashamed of, but not surprised by, southerners. Please before coming here the first time that it is a privilege to walk into a space that transports you to another land. Their culture deserves respect.

The owner was absolutely lovely, speaking a mix of French and English. She was very patient with my rusty French :) I had a fantastic cannoli and coffee. The dog was super cute. Their setup is extremely small, but the feel is like a little piece of Europe in the South.

Best beignets in Charleston, hands down! The owners are very friendly and very French. They don’t have French press coffee, but the food was delicious: spinach quiche, ham and cheese croque, and the best beignet I’ve ever tasted!
