Late lunch before jumping on a plane back to NY. It was suggested by my (new) brother, and it did not disappoint. Summer our waitress was amazing, the food was even better. The Bloody Mary garnished with shrimp was phenomenal. I live in NYC and I’ll be back down again very soon. Thank you to the owner Ely, who stopped by to check in and make sure we were good. Go, absolutely go here and order everything!
Maybe my expectations were a bit ahead of reality. Great atmosphere but the plates we got were not that memorable quite honestly. The oysters were decent but rather generic, the shrimp and grits was also decent. The she crab soup was the best thing we got :)
We drove 5 hours to our vacation rental and then another 2 hours to Charleston to try this place out and it did not disappoint. We even got to meet the owner. He made us feel right at home. Food was SO good. I got the crab cakes & Cajun shrimp. Kiddos even enjoyed every bit of their food as well. Our favorite part was being greeted outside by a gentleman passing out their delicious hush puppies. This place is famous for a reason. 😋😋😋
My sisters and I visited and Eli was so gracious and the entire staff so welcoming. The food was exceptional, the calamari was by far the best I have ever had! Broiled grouper and fried shrimp tasted like it was caught 2 hours before and the fried flounder absolutely succulent!!
We ate here twice in one week while visiting Charleston. We’re always looking for great seafood and were surprised we hadn’t heard of this place before. The service is top notch. The food is even better. We had tried the Carolina delight, hush puppies, lobster and crab Mac and cheese, jambayla, fresh fish. It’s definitely worth eating here when in Charleston. Eli, the owner, introduced himself at our meal the first night we went. It’s obvious he takes pride in the restaurant and service. Just great all the way around.
