Great seafood with and enjoyable atmosphere. If you want fine dining but want also a relaxed casual atmosphere this is your place. We sat outside in a covered patio like area where we could see the street and the art in the alley next door. Our waitress was very helpful. Little did we know how different oysters can be. She told us about each one. How they taste and where they are from. My wife loves crab legs and once again we were not disappointed. I am a gumbo fan and fairly picky about what I get. This was some of the best. But the best part of the meal was simply being able to enjoy one of the best parts of Charleston which is relaxing, enjoying the area, and eating great food. We will defiantly be back on our next trip.
Absolutely loved this place, I wish it were my neighborhood's oyster bar! The shuckers were all very knowledgeable and friendly, the oysters fresh and tasty. Shrimp & grits and crab cakes were also delicious. Don't forget they have happy hours very day!!
We visited the O Bar while visiting Charleston on vacation. We saw their happy hour sign outside while we were exploring the town and made it a point to come back. The happy hour specials are amazing. We ordered 2 dozen of the James River Oysters, hush puppies, 1/4 peel and eat shrimp, 6 Steamboat oysters, oyster shooter, and a Moscow Mule. The oysters were fresh and tasted amazing. Our shucker Ryan was friendly and personable. He gave us some great recommendations and made the experience that much better. I kind of want to eat here every night we are in town because it’s that good.
Our Happy Hour visit. Most enjoyable! My Little Princess and I were fortifying ourselves with Old Fashioneds and Pom Martini's. Our prime objective were the Happy Hour oysters, and we had plenty, supplemented with She Crab Soup and Holy City Cheese Fries. Although very busy, Jessica was attentive to all on her station. We enjoyed our visit!
Loved the happy hour at Oyster House Seafood Restaurant in Charleston, South Carolina!!! The space is inviting and relaxing!! The service was fantastic! Our server was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The happy hour is m-f 4-7 and Saturday/Sunday 4-6. We arrived a few minutes early and got a table. We ordered the house wine and a beer and Moscow mule . The mule was amazing. The food was spectacular. We had the $1.50 oysters, the firecracker shrimp, the peel and eat shrimp, the hush puppies. The hush puppies were some of the best I’ve ever had! They were crunchy and soft on the inside. The praline butter was to die for. The shrimp all around were delicious!!! So fresh and delicious! Loved the oysters too! Big and juicy and super fresh! I can’t wait to come back!!!
