I was on a girls trip with my elementary/high school friends and we stayed at The Mills House. It was absolutely beautiful! The atmosphere, amenities, pool and staff were all A+. I went to The Black Door cafe every day to get my coffee and the staff was amazing. They went above and beyond to make me feel special - especially Akaria, Fufu and Nef. They were all so sweet, kind, courteous and provided fast, friendly service with a happy, positive vibe. I follow a low carb diet and was so happy that they had sugar free vanilla syrup and heavy whipping cream. I was on vacation, so I splurged with my friends and we shared the chocolate croissant and the chicken biscuit. Both were DELICIOUS! I would go back to Mills House again if I make it back to Charleston and I highly recommend it to anyone who is considering it!

When you pay almost 20$ for an iced brewed coffee and a chocolate brownie you expect something awesome served with a smile and special attention. The coffee from most fast foods are equal or better, the brownie was very good but if the staff could of thrown it at us instead, that could of put a smile on their faces. When you go into a nice hotel you expect wonderful happy employees. I guess the owners of the hotel are not the same of the cafe?

Black Door Coffee in Charleston, SC, is a fantastic spot! The shop has a cozy and inviting atmosphere that's perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. They offer a great variety of coffee drinks, each one expertly crafted and delicious. I also tried their brownie, and it was absolutely amazing—rich, fudgy, and the perfect complement to my coffee. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, making the experience even better. If you're a coffee lover in Charleston, Black Door Coffee is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Black Door Coffee. A lovely, Black-owned coffee and pastry shop located in the heart of Downtown Charleston. They serve delicious croissants and other good eats along with tasty coffee ranging from cold brews to Cortados. I was a fan of how rich and smooth the flavors were and the service was excellent. The servers were very attentive and had no problem explaining anything to me. They’re a smaller cafe, but they have quite a few very comfy seats. Be sure to account for parking when visiting here because space can be at a premium Downtown. This is a small issue though compared to how nice it is inside and I would come here often if you’re downtown !
