We are repeat customers and always loved the venue, location and hospitality. Unfortunately, we were only able to spend one night this visit. We were upgraded upon check in which was great. The first thing we noticed is the toilet did not flush properly or at all. We were short on time since we had reservations so we did not call to get it addressed and realized when we got back that it was broken. We advised the front desk when we checked out and also spoke to the manager via phone and they both apologized but acted like it was no big deal that we had to physically open the toilet every single time the toilet was used and manually flush it. They offered no compensation after telling them twice about the issue and basically acted like it wasn’t a concern. With the weekend rate they charge of $549/night we should not have to assume janitorial duties. Unfortunately for them there are many other amazing hotels in Charleston that would love our business again.
Great hotel in a perfect location to explore downtown area and especially Market and King streets. Walking distance to many great restaurants. Rooms are plush and clean. Staff putts out coffee and cookies on each floor. Very nice touches!
Beautiful hotel with the old Charleston charm I remember growing up. Great location. Don’t miss Grill 225 for an amazing dinner and even better cocktails.
Right next door to the city market, easy to walk to several shops and restaurants. Great service, very nice rooms. There is a rooftop pool and bar with a lovely view of the city and bridge.
This was a magical hotel in a wonderfully mystical city!! We had such an amazing experience with the location of this hotel and the professionalism of its staff! Highly highly recommend!!
